Discriminated against at every turn, mutants are marked and monitored by The Registry and any deemed too dangerous are taken away to The Facility. It’s no surprise that many try to hide or choose a more permanent way out if a mutation develops.
Castiel’s parents hid his mutation and hid him away from the world. He’s grown up with the knowledge that the world will hate him, no matter what he does. If he leaves the house, he can only do it with a long, heavy coat that covers the most beautiful part of him.
It takes a pair of brothers to help him really spread his wings and live.

Sometimes Dean wishes that Angels were like how they’re described in the Bible. How people from time too old for him to care much about thought Angels were messengers and warriors of God, protectors of Humans. He knows that how they’re really described in the Bible is actually pretty terrifying, but at least they were told by God that they’re supposed to love Humans, right?
That’s a thousand times better than what Angels really turned out to be.

He sat at the edge of the bed, sitting in his boxers with a cigarette clasped tightly between cracked, pursed lips, watching as the rain poured down heavily from the thick, almost black clouds that hung lowly in the sky. He sighed, smoke pouring laboriously from his nose and mouth, both of which burned harshly. He felt numb. No, he felt nothing. He balled up his fist, looking down at himself before taking the cigarette from his mouth and pressing the butt straight into his stomach. Quackity gritted his teeth, a painful burning sensation flaring up his body. It made him feel a little less dead. Quackity had been trying hard to not feel dead anymore.

He brought roses with him every time he visited the coffin to replace the ones he had left previously. Just to make sure that Wilbur wouldn't be able to escape.
His resolve would waver every single time he visited. Every single time a soft 'hello darling' greeted him when he approached the coffin of his once friend. The vampire prince was...too dangerous, he concluded. If Wilbur got out...he's not sure what would happen. He tried to ignore the way his heart would twist painfully at the idea of the vampire running or leaving him behind. Not that Quackity would blame him, Wilbur had an entire eternity ahead of him.
Despite the witch's best efforts with his blood magic and spells, he only had a short few decades. Maybe a century if he was lucky.
When he started dating Karl and Sapnap, he thought maybe he could finally let go. Maybe he could move on, and forget the vampire trapped inside his basement within the coffin. But a nasty break up leaves the witch with only his memories of a sharp smile and blood red eyes.
Quackity breaks that night, returning to the basement with no roses to replace the ones atop the coffin. -

His subordinates always questioned why he chose Magpie. He never bothered to explain.
He had met the hero once, and that was all it took.
The eldest of the Minecraft children was so much more than anyone realized. There was a deep running fury hidden under his mask. The hero was fast approaching his breaking point.
That, is why Quackity chose him. Wilbur Minecraft was going to fall soon, and he was going to fall hard.

There are the ones who are just trying to get through it, to get out of the wretched town they are in, the ones that actually want to succeed and continue, the sporty folk, and the trouble kids who are sailing through school without an actual care. They’re the daredevils.
That’s who Dream wants to be. His friends are fun, and close enough to that yes, but they aren’t what Dream wants. As much as he enjoys his group’s late night skating to a shitty diner where they stuff themselves on greasy food or the parties that they’ll get invited to consider their popularity from being on a bunch of different teams and in a bunch of clubs, it’s just not enough.
He wants to sneak out and go to a late night party. He wants to sit in someone’s basement, everyone either drunk or high off their asses, or both like always as they all do stupid dares until morning. He wants to feel the adrenaline of someone’s tongue down his throat as they grind against each other desperately. He wants to be able to let loose before becoming an adult, live life as a teen like it’s made out to be in books.
