Don’t fidget. Don’t shift your weight. Goddess take you, Merlin, stand still. He clears his throat, “It was Gaius for a long time.”
The young king relaxes an imperceptible amount, and nods, “He’d have access to everyone, from villager to noble, and friendly relationships with most. Who is it now?”
Merlin stares at him, then spreads his palms helplessly, “Me.”
Merlin is Camelot’s spymaster and must reveal himself as such to Arthur when he becomes king.

Summary
Arthur found that he didn’t just like Merlin for his skills as a personal trainer, but he was starting to have those butterfly-in-stomach kinds of feelings about Merlin. Said feelings were inappropriate for three reasons: 1. As Arthur’s personal trainer sometimes Merlin’s job entailed very intimate positions and during those times Arthur’s thoughts were not appropriate for a professional environment, 2. Merlin would probably lose his job if he dated a client, and 3. Merlin was dating someone else.
