Summary
Repairing his relationship with the rest of the Batfamily, their term not his, was taking time. Jason was okay with that, and therefore he was okay with the occasional appearance of someone he knew during patrol. What he wasn't okay with, was how one touch sent the entire thing to a grinding halt.

Originally he had plans to actually go out for dinner with Wally. There was a new sandwich shop he wanted to try in Bludhaven, but no! He’d gotten the call around noon and had been in Gotham since.

Summary
What, outside of the famed Parker luck that Peter has become painfully familiar with, can explain his disaster of a life?
Confidence hadn’t kept his parents’ plane from falling from the sky. Preparation hadn’t stopped the copper bullets from ripping through the flesh of his aunt and uncle, tearing Peter for the second time in his short life from the people tasked with taking care of him.
