In biology, a nymph is the juvenile form of some invertebrates, particularly insects. Rookie Leon S. Kennedy, in Raccoon City in the midst of the worst night of his life, is not an insect. Until he is, at which point his usual story takes a sharp left turn and goes straight off a cliff.
Or, an AU of an AU where Leon, in the middle of Raccoon City, gets infected by a plaga six years too early. Becoming a monster in a city filled with them is terrifying enough, but when your options are adapt or die, you take what you can to survive. Plus, it has its perks. Being bite proof is one of them.

That's all it took to completely screw up the ritual, Sam is now wracked with both guilt over his mistakes and the terror of having his body altered to something far more inhuman. The people Sam has showed kindness to now return the favor to help Sam with both his emotional state and getting more comfortable with his new body. Hellen meanwhile must now function as the new temporary leader of apartment 33 until Sam has emotionally stabilized.

My contribution to the RookieBug trend (this was NOT how I expected my second ao3 fic to spawn...); please bear in mind I have never played Resident Evil and am flying by the seat of my pants.
Leon thought shit had hit the fan when literal zombies started walking the streets, but apparently the universe thought it'd be hilarious if it proved him wrong. Now he has to deal with an actual mini-zombie apocalypse while stuck in an alien body.
Hopefully he can save a few people along the way.

Octavia Vale had a problem. For her entire life, pokemon have reacted to her presence with unease at best, and outright hostility at worst. To them, she seemed to exist in the Uncanny Valley, something about her just subtly "off" in an unidentifiable way. She wanted nothing more than to have the opportunity to travel and befriend pokemon like anyone else, but it was never safe to do so. This was not a problem shared by Taylor, her identical twin. Octavia was sure that if she could just figure out what the difference between them was, then she could fix it and finally follow her dreams.
Unfortunately for both of them, she did. The difference was that Octavia wasn't human. She never had been.
Octavia Vale was an Imposter. A Ditto that had transformed into a perfect copy of Taylor as an infant and never changed back. A Ditto who could mimic the human form and had learned human speech to a degree almost unheard of for its species. A Ditto that no shortage of criminal enterprises would pay any price to capture and exploit.
Taylor Vale never wanted to be a trainer, but to protect her inhuman sister, she was willing to try anything. Even if it meant capturing and training Octavia herself.
