“You want to talk to him?” Martyn asks, knowing Scar will nod before he even really sees it. Martyn gently takes the tub of dishes from Scar, holding it by the handles, and nods towards Grian, who’s still staring into a flickering candle. Like he’s mesmerized by it. “Don’t come on too strong.”
He watches Scar make his way across the bar, floating as if pulled forward by an invisible tether. He watches him swerve, just slightly, to snatch a wooden flower from a nearby table’s centerpiece. He watches Scar place a hand on Grian’s table, drawing his eyes upwards, and hold the flower out. A lilac in shape, but not in color.
Grian looks up at him with this crooked, vaguely disgruntled glare. “Hello?”
"Come home with me."
Or
Scar falls for Grian, who falls in spite of himself.

“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Summary
The day after Scar breaks up with Grian, the dead come back to life. Knowing that venturing out alone is a death sentence, the sudden onset of the apocalypse forces them to stick together despite the tensions between them. In the wreckage of the world, they're forced to survive side-by-side, coming to terms with the fact that—try as they might—there's no one they trust more than each other.
“Go!” Grian shouts as the monster charges, putting his whole force into the blow.
Scar watches, frozen stiff as Grian fights until blood and gore and viscera mark the creature up like a Pollock painting.
“What are you waiting for?!” Grian snaps when he finally notices that Scar is still standing there. He grips his weapon tight and attacks a final time, slamming the zombie down—good and dead—and standing panting over top of it, strained but victorious. He starts rushing from the scene, calling back for Scar over his shoulder. “Run!”
And in a way that’s as familiar to him as breathing, Scar chases after him.

With that, he disappeared down one of their hallways, leaving Mikasa to stomp up the stairs and then slam her door shut, causing the picture frames on her wall with her and her parents to rattle. She sunk to the floor of her bedroom and into a small ball letting the tears stream down her pale now turning a flushed red face.

“So, can I finally know the reason for this impromptu marathon?”
There’s nervous anticipation buzzing inside him now, and Grian has to swallow before he speaks, mouth dry all of a sudden.
“Feed on me,” he says, and everything gets very quiet. His throat clicks as he opens his mouth again, but he finds he has nothing else to say, so he just sits back, arms braced on the bed, and looks at Scar.
Scar blinks at him.
“Sorry?” Scar sounds so baffled that Grian can’t help laughing. “Grian, you’re not—”
“Now I know you’re not about to tell me what I can and can’t do, Mr. Goodtimes,” Grian says. “And if you’re about to rattle off some bullshit about me getting hurt, we both know I can beat you in a fair fight, don’t we?”
Scar’s eyes glint in the dark.
“Come on,” Grian coaxes. His wings spread out behind him without his saying, and he can feel himself flush, embarrassed. Not that Scar seems to notice the blatant presentation, but still. “I wanna help you out. You’ll have a more clear mind, and then we can find a solution together, hm?”
Scar hesitates, arms crossed, but his resolve is clearly thinning. Grian smiles, wicked.
“You always get your way, don’t you,” Scar mutters.

This time, Scar's smile visibly twists, turns into something bitter that Grian hasn't seen in his face before.
"It's okay, Grian," he says. "I'm comfortable here, you don't need to do this." Grian blinks, confused.
"I—do what?" Scar raises an eyebrow at him and tucks a strand of hair behind his pointed ear.
"You're being nice," Scar says, discarding a blue fabric. Grian privately agrees, it's gaudy. "And it's sweet, really, but I'm okay."
"Scar, that's not—" Grian shakes his head. "That's ridiculous! I'm not just being nice!"
Scar looks up at him from where he's folded on the floor, grasping at velvet, and he suddenly looks very small and very tired.
"Sure," he says, and the tone makes Grian bristle, despite himself.
"Scar," he says, trying to keep calm. "Why would I do that? When have I ever been nice to anyone just for the sake of it? You're my friend—scratch that, you're our friend!" Scar huffs a little laugh and Grian watches him, helpless. "I—where is this coming from, man?"

The last thing Scott remembers thinking, was how fun it’ll be to finally get his memories back and talk endlessly with his friends about how well their game went.

Or, in order to keep things interesting and unpredictable during the traffic games, Grian thought it’d be a good idea to have the memories of everyone’s past relationships erased before the start of each session.
So far, every previous session has been a blast. But things become complicated at the end of double life when Scott realizes that his boyfriend in the real world went out and got a whole other boyfriend during the game. All while having no memory of him.
The next upcoming life game is sure to be an awkward one…
