Summary
The dark was pressing in all around Optimus, a thick sludge that weighed on him like a rockfall, heavy and suffocating. You would assume it would be quiet here, in this strange, suspended place- but it was deafening. The soft, young voice of a boy would sometimes cut through, calling out, begging him to transform, to run, to stop whatever destruction he was causing. When this happened, it was like the sludge thinned to water, allowing him a brief glance at the world and his actions, but he just couldn’t reach the surface. His heavy metal frame made him sink lower and lower, no matter how hard he tried to swim upwards, until the voice faded and he was once again alone in darkness.
Optimus snapped his optics open, his intake quicker than normal, relaxing only when he identified the roof of his small room at his base. The dream- or memory, more like it- whilst it was most definitely not pleasant, didn't hurt as much as it once had. He had seen and felt the memory over and over, waiting in the shadows to drag him back.
Or: Optimus struggles to come to terms with his new Dino alt mode.

“You’re aware office hours ended thirty minutes ago.” I leaned back slightly in my chair. “I had a question.” He eyes me for a moment, pausing briefly from shuffling his papers. “You asked it already.”
“And?” I ask innocently. “And I answered.” He replied back in his usual monotone voice. I tilted my head, humming slightly. “I don’t think you answered it fully.” A quiet pause followed.
Slowly, Higuruma set his pen down. “You’re deliberately prolonging this conversation.” I shrug and can’t help the small smile that forms on my lips. “Maybe.” I answered as his gaze lifted to mine, sharp and steady. “You do this often.”
“Do what?” I continue playing the innocent act, enjoying how easily he can read me. “Provoke me.” The word hung in the air between us.
Another sigh escapes his lips as his hand goes up to remove his glasses, placing them on his podium. “And it would be inappropriate for you to remain here alone with me.” I tried not to smile at that.
“Inappropriate?” His eyes narrowed slightly. “You know exactly what I mean.”

“Afterlife Coordinator! And this is the Junction!” Ryan says as he waves his hand around him.
Megumi struggled to process the flood of information. "The Junction? The Afterlife? So... is this purgatory? Hell? Heaven?"
Ryan's smile never faltered. "As I told you, this is the Junction! A brief transition between life and Eternity. And you, Megumi, have earned a life worth an Eternity!"

But it’s not perfect. First of all, because perpetuity is theoretical, so its efficacy is determined by the resources it has to go off of, and he’s been hardcore shirking that stipulation. Secondly, it only repairs physical damage…
There’s a soft clang across the living room. It’s the sound of metal striking ceramic, if he had to guess. Although it’s muffled behind a wall-
“Megumi?” Gojo shouts, springing to his feet. “You okay?”
He’s at the bathroom door in a matter of seconds, trying to turn the knob. He’s met with bolted ineptitude, so he goes for a knock, but he ends up violently rattling it on its hinges.
“Open up,” he demands. “Megumi.”
