He meets your eyes across the room, and deliberately smudges the chalk of his pentacle with one toe.

"It's Tyelperinquar, actually," he says. "Those I am close to call me Tyelpe."

Summary
Gil-galad remembers dying.
He remembers Sauron's hand around his throat. He remembers the Last Alliance bleeding on the ashes of Mordor.
Then he awakens in Lindon decades before the War, while Annatar still walks openly through Eregion. Saving Middle-earth should have been simple.
Instead, Annatar decides he’d rather have Gil-galad.

Summary
“The Maedhros who stands before his son is not one thing but many. He is a struck-down statue. He is a fading demon. He is a sword in a nuclear war. He is historical debris. He is the sum of a nation’s ruin. He is the first sunset of the Empire’s apocalypse. He is Elrond’s beloved Baba, who would find him under every starless sky. Archives will dissect him. Historians will redeem him. Writers will swallow him whole.”
In 1937, notorious Indian revolutionary Maedhros Fëanorian and his brother Maglor, take in a British colonial officer's twin sons and raise them to adulthood. Decades later, Elrond Peredhel, trying to leave a family tragedy behind in England, returns to India during a time of political turbulence and finds that everything, from the national landscape to his firebrand father, the ineffable Comrade Maedhros, has changed. Chapter 19: Epilogue, Afterword and 'Alternate' Ending.

Summary
Maybe they had always been destined to meet, exist, and end this way: like two blazing binary stars.
The inexorable attraction as they were drawn into each otherʼs gravity, the beautiful dance as they circled each other - faster, ever faster -, and the terrible destruction when they inevitably collided. The poets say that drama is the story of foregone conclusions and predetermined ends. Perhaps this was the only framework they could ever exist in: with its effervescent highs, its fathomless lows, in all its beautiful, brutal totality.

Summary
“You must know my grandfather, or father. People often say I look like them. Or perhaps you know one of my uncles even,” I continued hastily, face growing even hotter under his touch. “They are all well known, I am not.”
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I worried about my dressrobes. It was absurd, but they were truly my most elegant clothes and I did not want them to be dusty, especially not before stepping before Lord-maker Aulë.
“No,” he said firmly, suddenly fingering my hair as though he were investigating. “It is you I know, it must be.”
“My Lord,” I said, my worry for my robes slowly morphing into worry for my self.
Yet, he interrupted me with his rising voice, repeating his “No!” once more and then adding: “You have never called me that.”
I wasn’t quite sure what to make of that and to my great shame and embarrassment recall making a small, whimpering noise that echoed down the marble tiled floor of the cloister.

Summary
“Annatar,” Celebrimbor said, and Annatar’s eyes snapped to his face, “if you wished to discuss your past, you must know that I would listen. But I won’t demand it. We can just go on.”
Annatar’s mouth opened, but he said nothing. Not the lie that there was nothing he hadn’t shared. Not the truth, which was something else. His eyes held a terrifying blankness. Celebrimbor faked unconcern.
Annatar could not see him flinch. Not if Celebrimbor wanted honesty.
