A story that begins after the end of the war, set around the summer and autumn of 1945 but also looks back at the beginnings of the Skeldale family in flashbacks, starting with Audrey's arrival in Darrowby. How have things changed in the last 12 years, how have relationships evolved and grown and become more meaningful than expected?
This is my attempt at trying to embrace a time jump to 1945.
