They were absolutely minuscule compared to him, with huge eyes hung above a long snout, faint specklings of teal lines and navy spots running across its face and body, multitudinously bespectacled, each a different tone and shade of blue set over a neutral grey background.
This dragon was meant to live beneath the waves, in the ocean, camouflaged heavily in the water, their scales blending into the rise and fall of the tide.

EXCERPT:
Sam woke up with a gasp.
It was darkness. At first, it felt like complete and total darkness. But as Sam’s eyes adjusted, he could see specks of light in the distance. Wherever Sam was, it was eons away from whatever worlds were left, if he even was in the same plane of existence as those worlds. Judging by how it looked as if the stars were behind a layer of cloth, Sam was sure he was looking through from a pocket dimension or some sort of… void.
It was black sand.
What Sam was lying in. Dunes and dunes the eye could dimly see to his left, behind him, to his right. But ahead? Sam could see something in the distance. A light source.
A lighthouse.

Tony has always yearned for adventure. He gets restless easily and Rhodey says its going to get him killed but he doesn’t really care so long as he doesn’t die in a field or his father’s bakery. There’s only so many ways to bake a bread before it just gets old. “Get that look off your face, we’re going to die out here,” Rhodey says, curled up to the side of the large boat they’re on looking a little worse for wear. If not for his skin tone Tony is sure he’d be green. He doesn’t do well at sea but Tony doesn’t mind.
“You’ll be fine Rhodey, you’ve survived worse than this. Remember the trip back to Italy?” he asks.

Loki cocked a curious, mocking eyebrow towards his mate, "Pray tell, my love. Just how do you intend to get those nasty little power dampening handcuffs on me? There aren't many supernatural creatures who would willingly leash themselves for a human."
“I think you would willingly leash yourself, if I asked.” Tony took a step towards the bed. Another. Another until he was very nearly close enough to snatch. “So I am asking. Will you wear the handcuffs for me?”
Loki’s eyes flickered black as the feral edges of their magic stirred at the thought of being leashed, but they nodded and lay back onto the pillows again. “You know me too well, Anthony. I would give you anything you ask. Come along, then. Cuff me, if you must.”

Summary
The first thing he sees coming to the surface is dark chestnut hair followed by honey colored eyes that hold a piercing glare straight back at him. It was a man; the asset was surprised to see that a man had been hiding under the water. It still didn’t make sense to him why Hydra was keeping him in a tank or why they were having such trouble handling him. Not until he looked closer at his features. There were small patches of purple scales dotted around his face and his ears tapered back with ridged webbing along the lobes, almost like fins on a fish. The pressure the sensors in his arm were picking up happened to be from the sharpened teeth where the man was biting him. It was then he noticed the claws trying to dig into the hard metal, scratching along the surface.
