BB’s characterization was so well-done. I loved how deeply the fic delved into his psyche and what made him lose his mind. And that last conversation between BB and L!! Ah!! So suspenseful and sad. Overall, I really enjoyed this.

After Beyond sets himself on fire and is saved by Naomi Misora, B finds himself half-dead in a hospital, ruminating over his failures and the searing pain of his destroyed flesh.

Light wasn’t sure how or why it had happened. Tsuki was a stillborn baby. He was, for all intents and purposes, dead. He didn’t exist for anyone else, aside from Light himself. There was no one else who could see, hear or touch him. Tsuki, himself, couldn’t interact with the material world too much without using tremendous amounts of energy that left him weak and translucent, edges blurring into the background for hours afterwards.
And yet, he had grown up right by Light’s side for all these years.
