It smirked at him with dead eyes and blood dripping down its face from a head wound, and its hair casting dark shadows over its face.
“Look at what they’ve done to us, Lance,” the reflection said with a dead voice, still smirking at him with dead eyes. “This is the price for being a Paladin of Voltron. Look at how much you bleed for them, Lance.”
Lance trembled, watching blood pool at his reflections bloody feet.

Lance knew he was pushing it. He could tell by the twitch of Keith’s hand and the way his shoulders tensed every time Lance so much as opened his mouth to breathe. He was being too loud again but he couldn’t help it. As fucked up as it was, he would prefer annoying others by being too loud than never speaking at all.

Summary
Lance had forced himself to learn how to meditate after his first panic attack in space. He’d been alone, in his room and staring at the mess of ravaged skin that covered the expanse of his back in a perfectly situated mirror. He remembered the explosion in bits and pieces, and the fight with Sendak was even more fuzzy, but Lance remembered with terrifying clarity the feeling of his skin burning. It had melted because of his close proximity to the bomb, and his back would never be the same.
It had been a bitter wakeup call.
