Summary

Frisk killed them all, to be able to reach an ending. To be able to stop. Chara-Chara was mislead. They thought this was for the sake of mercy.
Chara will be the one who controls the timeline. Chara will save everyone. Chara will make up for everything that Frisk has done.
Frisk-Frisk will be tucked away. Somewhere unimportant. Somewhere they can never hurt another person again. (Is Frisk really just-rubbing themself against an edge-It does not matter. Frisk does not matter anymore.)-

But everything changes when they return to the Underground, their old wonderland that's now in ruin, and receive the quest to dethrone the megalomaniac red ruler who mistreats all of the monsters of the kingdom. But how do you kill a killer to save the people you love when you are one yourself ?

"yeah?" Sans said, his gaze fixated on every little move Chara made. "and why should I let you live?"
The younger had panicked a little, because there was nothing he could say that would justify the means to every end Frisk and him forced their way into. Because he had no soul, thus no empathy or understanding for anything when awoken with Frisk's own determination born within themselves. Because in Chara's moment of a slow feeling of breathless pain, he wanted to survive. No, he needed to survive, for his and Frisk's sake.
"Because I know how to fix this."
With only one SAVE file for the run left, Chara is unknowingly thrust into Frisk's place during Sans' judgement battle. Pain crosses his nerves before he realizes that he can feel. From being an afterthought in the back of Frisk's cranium, to suddenly having his own autonomy, how will Chara fare trying recover from his injuries, gain Sans' trust, and SAVE this timeline from being turned to dust?
