Summary
Jim sustains a concussion during a battle and when he wakes he discovers he's gone deaf. While the surgeon initially suggests that it's temporary, this doesn't seem to be the case as more time goes by and Jim still can't hear anything but an incessant buzzing.
His hope fades more as it appears that the career he's dedicated his life to will be cut short due to his disability, and the mission he's on is set to be transferred to another commanding officer. It seems the only one that has faith in his recovery is his first officer and friend, Mr. Onyx, but Jim believes that even he will have to accept the truth eventually.

Max's crash in Silverstone changed his and Lando's lives forever. As time passes, new issues develop as Max's concussion fails to heal and is diagnosed as a traumatic brain injury. The crash didn't only put Max's health and racing career at risk, it also imploded his relationship with his father. Now that Jos knows Lando and Max are together, he is becoming increasingly more hostile towards Lando as he is losing his connection with his son. Max is carrying all of that stress while competing for a world championship, but he doesn't have to do it alone. Lando has been by his side every step of the way. He is Max's rock so when just a few races after Silverstone, Lando has a dramatic crash at Spa, all of the pent up emotions and anxiety come to the surface for both of the boys.

Out of nowhere, a deafening BOOM detonated, followed by a flash of light so bright it lit up the entire floor and the sound of a loud collision. Hitoshi felt his eyes close by instinct, arms flying up to cover his face. The shock wave slammed through the walls, sending dust and fragments of plaster raining down. Both Hitoshi and Yaoyorozu stumbled, their fight forgotten as their heads snapped toward the source.
Hitoshi’s stomach dropped, ice filling his veins. That explosion had come from the other side of the room where Denki had been rushing towards Bakugo.
“Fuck!” Was all that was heard, the voice registering in his head as Bakugos, a certain level of panic lacing his voice that began to concern Hitoshi. His eyes tried to adjust to see where the others were, but the dust blocked his vision. His heart began to race and his mind began to go dark places as he realized he has yet to hear Denki’s voice.

Langdon laughs slightly, shaking his head in disbelief. “Robby, if that man means anything to you, and from what I've just gathered, he means everything, then you need to be there for him. You will be no good to us if your mind isn’t in this, if you’re constantly worrying about him. We can cope without you for one day, and I’m sure Doctor Abbot isn't going to say no to coming in a few hours early for you. Go be with him, even if it’s just waiting up there, he’ll know.”
Robby looks at him, feeling almost hollow. Useless.
