Summary
The Children of Myth have grown, surmounting every challenge against them, reaching the summit of what was thought to be possible, and then spreading their wings to fly further. Now they look downward, through the remains of Oranous, and beneath the flesh of Gaea, beyond Erebus and The Underworld, and they march downward. One final quest, one final war, deep into the Abyss. And as the Children spill the ichor of their forefathers the Fates must wonder if the Fifth Age has finally reached its bloody end.
Less vaguely, this is the prelude of a PG-13/R-rated AU/retelling of the Riordanverse. Demigods are far stronger, monsters are far more numerous, and more time is spent with a lot more characters. Written in a third-person perspective like HOO, with this oneshot from the perspective of a very familiar antagonist. DO NOT READ THIS FIC IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED ALL OF THE RIORDANVERSE BOOKS (as of 3/2024). There are spoilers for HOO and beyond during this oneshot.

Summary
First fanfic, excited :D Alrighty, takes places after House of Hades and can directly lead on from the book.
Somehow the group of demi-gods must defeat Gaia and the Giant army, and fulfill both old and new prophecies. Meanwhile, Percy is getting more than just a feeling about the frustrating yet elusive Nico di Angelo, but with Annabeth at his side and the son of Hades outwardly hostile, nothing seems possible. As they try to sort out their feelings, desires, and differences, the deadline for the war is approaching. The demigods are beginning to realize that not everybody will survive this...but never, in all their worst nightmares, did they expected what was to come.
This is my own ending to the Percy Jackson series.Update: It's a few years later and my writing has much improved, so I have edited this entire fic. I hope you like the new edition!
