Summary
Set in a world where the Great War was interrupted by the arrival of the Sirens, the great nations have been decisively defeated on the seas. Four human commanders from the United States, Britain, Germany, and Japan must strike back using the new and mysterious weapon just developed- the shipgirls.
This setting is heavily informed by canon, but the primary focus is on how the ship-girls and their Commanders would act in a "realistic" setting- essentially, the World War II period.

Summary
Whenever the commander closed his eyes, he dreamt of one simple difference within the world he lived in. It was one where the oceans were free of monsters, and human life proceeded without the fear of the invaders.

Azur Lane. The international military alliance which protects the world's oceans from the murderous entities known as the "Sirens". Founded in 1991, its creation was the demonstrative pinnacle of human solidarity against their technologically superior foes.
Four years at the naval academy, followed by eighteen months aboard the HMCS Adelaide Sinclair, served to hone his strong belief into unwavering conviction.
And, in the Fall of 2019, he would receive an opportunity unlike any other.
On the heels of the Crimson Axis declaration of war, Tatsuya Yukimura - newly-minted Kansen commander of Port Pacific - seeks to re-unite the fractured alliance he had grown up admiring, and to destroy the Siren presence from the planet once and for all.
