Summary
Legend had been traveling with the Chain for a while now, and of course they all got along. They shared a spirit, and they were practically brothers. They argued, they play-fought, they teased. Well, they did all that to each other, but not really to Legend, and he knew exactly why. It was because somehow, even the people who shared his soul didn't really understand him, and though he thought they knew that he cared about them just as much as they cared about each other, they didn't.
Alright, fine. If they couldn't see it for themselves, then he'd just have to show them exactly how much he cared, and he'd have to do it in ways they could understand. They didn't speak his language, but he was passable enough in each of theirs that he could say all he had to.
(Although, it was starting to get a little exhausting to keep bridging the gap with everyone else, going towards them but never having anyone to meet him where he was. It was tedious to keep bending over backwards and reaching out, and having no hand to catch his own. It was lonely, to have nobody understand him, not at all, and for him not to understand anyone but for them to all get each other so easily. He was tired. But he'd keep going for them.)Series

Summary
He stepped closer to Legend. Legend froze, staring at the Captain in confusion. Before he could say anything, the man was unwinding his scarf and unbuttoning his collar. He leaned down and… Oh dear Goddesses. Legend was being scented. He felt his face flush red and began to sputter.
“Hey- Get off me, Cap! Not cool!” He cried.
Warriors took a couple steps back, looking apologetic. He rebuttoned his collar with a flushed face. “Let me see your wrists.”
Legend held his hands close to his chest. “Absolutely not!” He snapped.
Time stepped between the two as the Chain watched on in a mix of confusion and slight anger. “Captain. Don't jump him if you aren't going to explain what's going on.” He leveled a glare at Warriors. “You know that you should ask first.”
Warriors flushed and took a deep breath. Hyrule grasped Legend by the shoulder and pulled him closer, glaring at Warriors. “Not cool.” He muttered, pressing closer to his predecessor.
___________Or Alternatively: Legend fights off his stupid silly instincts, gets into trouble, and learns that it's okay to be vulnerable.

Another village somewhere in Hyrule's grand history - or future - and another heartfelt plea to "Please vanquish the monster!" by the inhabitants. Just another day in the life of a Hero of Courage. Even better, there were nine of them ready to fight. The odds were stacked so heavily in their favour that practically nothing could go wrong, right?
Wrong.
Legend is in for a terrible time and it's not solely the monster's fault.

Time nearly dropped the phone.
”Warriors?”
Despite eight years of radio silence, he recognized his younger brother’s voice. He used to sound just like that when he told off other kids on the playground for being unfair by not letting him take a turn on the swings.
"Nothing is wrong," Warriors said firmly. "My younger brother was exaggerating. I apologize for bothering you. Good night."
"Wait-"

Time hasn't heard from his little brothers since their dad kicked him out on his eighteenth birthday. But when he gets a panicked phone call from a kid claiming to be his third brother and learns some very worrying things, not even Warriors' promises can stop him from getting involved.
But when Time shows up to confront their father, he's long gone.
With Legend painfully defensive at every turn, Warriors in deep denial about their abandonment, and Hyrule, a new baby brother he never even knew existed, Time's life is about to take a difficult turn. He's not at all prepared for taking care of three kids, and is haunted by guilt from the past and anxiety for the future.
But no matter what troubles they bring, Time will never abandon his brothers the way their father did. -

Four trails near behind Legend, internally noting on the hitch in his gait. “You seem bothered.” They blurted out.
“No shit.”
Four winced, “No, I mean you aren’t yourself. Are you doing alright?”

Time figures it's best to take Hyrule, Legend, and Four to the hospital to fix their spotty (and nonexistent) medical records. Of course, this is easier said than done. Because there was one extremely important thing that Time had completely forgotten about.

“What?” Legend breathed. He wasn’t being that mean.
“Out. Now.” He pointed to the door, his movements stiff and articulate.

“It’s a shame, really,” Wild huffed, crossing his arms and propping his leg on the coffee table in Malon’s living room. “I’ve slept longer than half the people in my era have been alive! Nobody cared at the Noble Canteen...I just wanted to try a Noble Pursuit!”
Warriors had never once, in his entire, crazy life, expected to be talking with his incarnated self who apparently had been asleep for 100 years, woke up with no memories, saved all of Hyrule anyways and found the most inconvenient part of it all was not being able to drink at a Gerudo bar.

Wild is 117 and doesn't understand that this is Not Normal. Warriors gets more headaches (and gray hairs), and the chain ends up in Gerudo Town. This does not de-escalate the situation at all.
