Summary
Gavin Reed: Detective-turned-Special Operative for the mysterious Alliance. Tearing through North America in an RV with a spy who defected not once but twice from two different employers, a dying cyborg kid who can probably nuke an entire state out of existence on a bad day, the deadliest linguist he has ever met, and an android with glowy blue magic whom Gavin swears looks exactly the same as the very Captain Allen back in the DPD, he realises that although he might be hitching a ride back home, surviving the trip in one piece and being able to return to his life from before is wholly another matter.
Louis W. Allen: a man with a charge of treason on his back reinitiated by the DPD to investigate a turf war that is destroying Detroit block by block by reducing it into a radioactive wasteland. With the help of his team, it doesn’t take long for them to realise that the situation is way out of their paygrade, one that is directly tied to their seemingly separate past.
They say that history is written by the victors, but who will write theirs if no one is left to document their victory?

Connor gets a message from Markus about a lost android who doesn't want to deviate, and asked for help. At first, Connor is hesitant. If the leader of the deviants can't help this android, what is Connor supposed to do? But then, he realized that RK900 is already on his path to personhood.

In 2038, the android revolution failed and Marcus, the leader of the deviants, disappeared. Now 2 years later, Cyberlife is trying to take over the government. Most of the police forces are gradually and inexorably replaced by androids like RK900, yet Gavin managed somehow to keep his job within the DPD, mostly thanks to Fowler's support. Connor who remained a machine still follows Cyberlife's orders and stays in the police to accomplish their dubious tasks.
In this world, the smallest suspicion of deviancy gets you to deactivation and destruction. RK900 absolutely can't afford to become one. But how can he stay neutral when he was given the mission to protect Gavin Reed at all costs... even if that means rebelling against his own masters, Cyberlife itself.

Exhaling in amusement, Kamski offered the reporter a smile. "I have not worked for CyberLife in a decade, and while it is true that it is my creations that pushed the boundaries of robotics, it is mere coincidence. We have known for almost a century that this time will come sooner or later, and I am just as surprised as you. I have helped the police and politicians through this as much as I could, and I remain available for contact, should further assistance be needed." Even after half a year Detroit is still full of anti-android bigotry, and Connor, being one of the main players in the revolution, continuously finds himself in the thick of it.
Usually it would be fine, he could defend himself and report it to the DPD’s android division the next day, not a scratch on him.
But one day he’s attacked and his programming betrays him, leaving him running for his life, and as if a switch had been flipped within his circuits, a second phase of deviancy left him more vulnerable than ever.
Thankfully though, Hank has offered to begin escorting Connor around on his daily errands, so he doesn’t have to deal with these newfound emotions on his own.
...Now, if only he’d fucking talk about them.
