“Look at this kid,” said Izzy, jabbing a thumb at him, “says he’s a pirate.”
The rest of the crew laughed as Edward flailed one arm at Izzy, as though he’d be able to somehow land a blow on him from his precarious position. Izzy walked up to him then, and grabbed his wrist.
“Listen to me, boy,” he whispered, the angry words meant for his ears only, “you don’t want this.”
Izzy placed a hand over Edward’s face, and pushed him backwards into the ocean.
