Matt Murdock is on the run, recruiting his own army of vigilantes with Karen Page while trying to find ways to expose Mayor Fisk, whose authority is being undermined more and more every day. Daredevil and Kingpin play a game of chess, trying to find each other's weaknesses and expose them, and it's only a matter of time before everything ends for the better, or the city is finally drowned in the Devil's Reign.

Summary
A largely slice of life Avengers au featuring Sam Wilson, Joaquín Torres, Bucky Barnes, Yelena Belova, Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, Billy Maximoff/Kaplan, Carol Danvers, and Kamala Khan. This fic universe is going to be mostly fluff and shenanigans, but some whump will probably make an appearance here and there as I do love a good whumpfic. Other characters may end up making appearances as well, but the aforementioned are going to be the main players. Enjoy!
Note: the events of Thunderbolts* do still happen in this au, but they do not rebrand to be the New Avengers and instead remain the Thunderbolts. That way Bucky and Yelena can still help out with Sam's team.

“Yeah, yeah, you're super strong, walking through a downpour is probably so easy-” She said sarcastically, but Sam didn't get to hear her finish what she was saying.
Instead, he dropped his phone as he was unceremoniously punched in the stomach, his body suddenly flying back into an alley.
His vision went completely dark for a single millisecond when his head hit the concrete, and the rain was obscuring his vision once he came back to himself. The pounding rain hurt, feeling like little pinpricks on his skin. The bag and all the action figures were scattered across the alleyway, getting completely ruined, but he managed to keep his grip on his umbrella.
“Oh, little bird.” The sickeningly familiar voice cut through the sound of rainfall. “Looks like I've caught you again.”
OR: Sam gets attacked. In the lull between reality and unconsciousness, his mind reminds him of all those he's lost.

Summary
