Summary
The 74th Hunger Games reaping brings double volunteers when Primrose Everdeen and Rory Hawthorne are chosen, leading to their older siblings, Katniss and Gale, to take their places. As the games unfold their unwavering devotion to each other born out of years of friendship is spun into a tale of star-crossed lovers by the Capitol despite the pair seeing each other as siblings. But where the Capitol sees tragic romance, those in the districts simply see a bond unbroken by the games that inspires many to form the beginnings of the rebellion, especially when the pair chooses to ally with young Rue. Back home, Peeta Mellark and Madge Undersee work to care for the Everdeen and Hawthorne families, both driven by their intense feelings for Gale and Katniss, and find they must make a choice about where they stand as rebellion brews within the district.
Told in alternating POVs from Gale in the games and Peeta back in District 12.

When Katniss looks into the crowd she sees Finnick and the man from before. They were heading to the exit. In one moment, just before the stairs, she saw the taller man's hand on Odair’s lower back. She was however too innocent to know what it means. She just though the man has some kind of manner with this. Usually you treat women this way, don’t you? She had no idea, that in just couple of minutes Finnick will be screaming for this man.
| A story of Finnick Odair. I always liked this character, the way he tried to keep up his appearances, show everyone his best side, even if there was only a ruin behind this beautiful facade. And the ruin is what I want to show in this story. |

Four is put into an awkward position, especially with their Career training services in such a precarious position. How many of their few Careers are they willing to sacrifice to ensure that they can still prove themselves this year? How many innocent children will they allow to die in order to preserve the Foundation in its final hour? Within the chaos, two girls learn that maybe everything they've grown up knowing isn't as reliable as they thought.
