Summary
John Constantine beat the system of life and death until it fully refused to touch him anymore, and when it did, it never went well. It was a fact that the League had come to terms with, or those that knew, anyways. None of Constantine’s past could explain the kid in fuzzy pajamas that was curled up on a chair in the Justice League’s control room asking for the elusive brit.
Danny had barely made it to high school graduation only to be thrust into dealing with the millennia of bullshit waiting ever so patiently for the King of the Infinite Realms to look at. The fact that there was a weird amount of paperwork filed regarding some dude named John Constantine that looked like the weirdest form of tax fraud he’d ever seen was puzzling, and his parents committed that regularly. He has no idea what the hell he’s looking at.
Alternately: Danny is the inter-dimensional personification of the IRS for Death and the Unliving, and he just has a couple questions.

“Ecto-what now?” Jason demanded.
Danny raised an eyebrow. “Bro. According to your imprints, you were summoning blades and junk when your emotions and Obsession were in harmony. What did you think was happening?”
“...super advanced, Lazarus-only martial arts?”
“…dude.”
“You lot are worse than demons!” Constantine’s voice shouted. At his children. “And I ain’t bein’ figurative! I’ve met Wrathians who’re less trouble!”
The pillow fell from Bruce’s face to reveal a room strayed from God.
Damian was on Constantine’s head, legs over his shoulders in a chokehold, as his fingers threatened to dig into his eyes. Sensible man he was, Constantine was yelling insults nonstop, stumbling around the room blindly. Duke was making sure he wouldn’t crash into anything, but otherwise did nothing to help. Stephanie and Jason were losing it, Stephanie sitting on Jason’s chest for some reason. Dick was trying and failing to convince Damian to get off of Constantine. It didn’t help that he was laughing, too.
Cass, Bruce’s favorite now and forever, was sleeping peacefully in the far bed.
Bruce did what any reasonable parent would do in this situation. “Three.”
Everyone in the room froze, including Constantine.
“Two.”
There was a mad scramble as everyone moved in unison, scrambling for their pre-designated beds. Constantine spun in a circle, disoriented.
“One.”
Everyone shoved their way under the covers. Constantine fell on his ass on the floor.
“Zero. Glad to see everything’s in order,” Bruce deadpanned. He was not going to laugh. After their ordeal, his kids should’ve been resting. Not to mention, Constantine had cat-like scratch marks on his face. Damian’s claws of terror were not cute. Hurting people (even Constantine) was bad.

The teen vigilante snorts, gesturing broadly at the burn marks pockmarking the trashed alley. “Oh yeah? This is definitely prime real estate you’re crashing in.”
He laughs once, a sharp staticky hah that echoes more than it ought to. Maybe-Robin shifts minutely where he’s crouched, tracking him as he heaves his bag onto his back.
“Yeah,” he croaks. “It’s just like home.”
