Zuko fought against the Gaang when they tried to save Zuko from the blizzard in the North Pole. Finding himself lost in the tundra, Zuko fights with every breath before stumbling into a valley, hosting a massive, gnarled tree of dead roots in the center.
One month after the failed siege, from the frozen wastelands of the northern tundra, a new Avatar walks free. One who is of the dark rather than the light, of the push rather than the pull.

Summary

The Fire Nation descends into chaos at the sudden loss of firebending, & the war becomes bloodier still, as the troops fight on out of sheer desperation, terrified that a reckoning is now due.

Zuko beheld an enormous stone door, carved with a symbol that resembled a tree, or perhaps a crown. It was weathered with age, and near the bottom of the door, there was great rent in the stone, creating a hole just big enough for someone of his size to squeeze through. It was odd though, that the hole looked like it was made by someone smashing the stone in from the other side…almost like something broke through from the other side and escaped.

His grandfather speaks first, the head of the table, and approval runs thick through his tone: “Well, look at that. A true prodigy, wouldn’t you agree, Ozai?”
