“I don’t know, maybe someone with a psychiatric background,” Grantaire bites out, trying to stay calm and failing completely. “We aren’t healthy, Enjolras! We are so, so fucked up. Do you really want to subject a kid to that? Do you think we could even keep him alive? We can barely keep ourselves alive.”
(Or: Grantaire has to somehow be the voice of reason because everyone's going crazy insisting they keep this kid even though there's some bullshit conspiracy around him and Enjolras is going ACTUALLY crazy and won't let Grantaire even try to help and god he's just so fucking done, he really is.)

Summary
Bilbo Baggins has always wanted something more exciting than his dull but perfectly okay job, his mother Belladonna makes sure that he gets it by practically blackmailing him into opening a cafe. It's a cafe with a rainbow sticker in the window. Soon, Bilbo finds himself absorbed into a very unusual, and very rowdy and intense, family. He's particularly keen to get to know head of the family Thorin. There's corsets, threats, incest, meddling mothers, tattoos, grief, and a whole mountain of baking. This, Bilbo decides, is not a bad thing.

“I suppose we shouldn’t have expected better,” Bilbo mutters as Óin and Dwalin bellow at each other.
It’s typical, Thorin thinks, and is disgusted with himself for the rush of fondness he feels.

Summary
Thorin Oakenshield and Bilbo Baggins have been parted for many years now, despite the love they bear each other. Now Thorin's research has uncovered a dire threat to Middle Earth--the Ring he carried a little while and then gave to Bilbo. Together with a group of companions composed of the different Free Peoples of Middle Earth, they must attempt to destroy the artifact before its Dark Lord can re-capture it.
Begins in 2968, twenty-six years after the events of "Clarity of Vision" and fifty years before the canonical events of "Lord of the Rings." Thus, characters' ages and the geopolitical situation will be different than LoTR canon!

When their attempts to recreate the super soldier serum failed, Hydra started trying to breed Captain America clones from his genetic samples. Unfortunately, the serum's effects aren't passed down genetically, so instead of an army of tiny Captain Americas, they get a bunch of tow-headed, asthmatic, allergic, immuno-compromised little Steves.
And then the Winter Soldier stumbles across Hydra's failed experiment...

Summary
There's a lot of expectation attached to Steve Rogers' name. It's taken him years to prove his own worth - that he's made it so far in the USNA on his own merit and not just because of his father. He's close though - there are only a few more months until he graduates and gets to stand on his own two feet. It's taken a lot of effort to get there, and a lot of sacrifices.
Bucky's beyond the point of expectation. When your father and grandfather have both been President - and your mother nurses political ambitions of her own - brilliance is a foregone conclusion. He's just counting down the final months of his confinement to the glass cage of the White House and he's determined to put that whole world behind him.
But as the days standing between them and their dreams dwindle, Steve comes to realize he might have made one sacrifice too many, and Bucky learns that his freedom comes at a cost he's never going to be able to pay.

Phil is tired. Phil is stupid. Or, he’s stupid because he’s tired, or he’s tired because he’s stupid, and he’s not really sure which one it is anymore.
He doesn’t remember anymore when he started counting small luxuries in terms of meals. The food bank has meat sometimes, but he can’t cook it, so he leaves it for the mothers at the food pantry that glare at him because he doesn’t look homeless, doesn’t look like someone who should be trespassing in their aisles filled with boxes of Kraft mac and cheese and chicken broth and if they’re lucky, a box or two of fancy risotto or rice pilaf. He doesn’t know how to tell them that they don’t look homeless either, that they look nice, and clean, and perfectly employable - just like he does.
The one where for once, Clint Barton gets to be the guardian angel.

Now, Camelot is recovering from the invasion of Cenred and Morgause's army. Prince Arthur is the one in charge, and Merlin finds out that his secret regular visits to the covert haven't been very secret at all. There's a great deal of manly bonding with the Knights, inquisitive dragons being inquisitive, and a record-breaking number of near-death experiences for Merlin.
