Despised the way they stared, the way their fascination was always tinged with something possessive, as if he were a rare specimen on display. Loathed the murmurs in the Academy halls, the furtive glances that dogged him everywhere he went.

If they should lust after him, they did so at their own peril.

He knows he would hate it being pointed out himself. The hug could last one minute or ten for as much as he knows, but when the older finally draws himself away Jayce just… looks at him.

The main course was minutes away. The sky outside was a pretty violet color, dark enough at the edges that it was hard to tell where exactly the sea pressed up to meet it. Prince Stolas of the Ars Goetia, newly 22 years old, took a measured breath, looked around the opulent dining room filled to the brim with laughing, unbothered nobility, and realized with absolute clarity that he was going to have to kill himself.

Stolas is a miserable passenger on a luxury cruise in Envy, traveling with his fiancée and her brother in the days before his very much arranged wedding. Meanwhile, Blitzø is a stowaway on that very same cruise, in pursuit of a target that will help him keep his floundering assassination business (and two newlywed employees) afloat a little longer. When their paths (literally) collide, all bets are off and things sure do happen, both in a hot-and-heavy way and a oh-shit-this-boat-is-DEFINITELY-gonna-sink way.
