Summary
The man in the woods didn’t inspire dread at first glance. He wandered as aimlessly as a week old lamb, lifting one hand to trail it through the sweeping branches of the willows on either side of him.
A strange man wanders near Forest Hills, straying near lingering danger. A callous prince controls the palace, holding Eddie’s fate in his capricious hands. They look the same, though they couldn’t be more different — two men in the same body in a way that shouldn’t be possible in the wake of magic being purged from the kingdom. It would be wiser to weather the consequences for thievery with his head down rather than involve himself in a mystery, but Eddie has never been known for his wisdom.

Summary
Steve doesn’t register much after he’s saved from the Russian Base under the Starcourt Mall.
He nearly dies in the mall, even with Dustin’s attempts to stop his bleeding. He really was more hurt than any of them noticed.
Thanks to Jim Hopper, he’s patched up and watched over. He trusts this man more than any other authority figure, his own parents included. That could be the desperation, the fact he nearly died in that damn mall, or…well, he doesn’t know.
But he’s happy to stay.

He knew he shouldn't be driving, of course he knew that.
But he was better now. Stronger. The headaches were less frequent, and he hadn't had any dizzy spells this week aside from the typical vertigo that followed him whenever he woke up, or turned his head too fast.
Plus, it was late. The roads were empty, dark stretches of pavement with no other cars in sight. No one to hit, no one to swerve around.
Just Steve and the yellow lines on the road and the knowledge that Dustin needed help.

Summary
After Starcourt burns down and the upside down is destroyed for good, Steve leaves town. Moves to Bloomington and ends his gap year early. Starts college a semester earlier. He's not too keen on having a roommate, but on campus housing comes with a scholarship and he's not going to complain about saving money. He's just happy to be out of Hawkins and away from a place that has irreparably damaged his brain, his hearing, his eyes, probably other stuff too if he thinks about it.
Eddie isn't sure how he ended up pursuing higher education--especially after he's struggled to graduate from high school twice. But, he managed to swing a scholarship which takes care of housing so he's not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. He's a bit wary that a lot of people from Hawkins end up going to IU, but he doubts he'll have to see them. Especially not asshole's like Harrington who probably got into Ivy's off of Daddy's money and no merit.

Steve and Eddie are college Roommates and one of them definitely hates the other.

Eddie gawks at him. Steve’s suddenly terrified the Alpha is grossed out. Ugh, he knew he looked a wreck. Then he sees. Eddie is nodding vigorously, a strange unreadable glow in his eyes: “Yes, Sweetheart, you can totally do that.”
Or, O!Steve is losing his mind, struggling with chronic pain, and it feels like nobody believes him or hears his pleas for help. In his desperation, he goes to A!Eddie to score drugs, and they end up ‘saving’ each other.

Summary
The hospital, like the city, is larger than anticipated. Steve had traveled to about every corner of the US by the age of thirteen, tried every fine wine over the price of several thousands by sixteen, followed his parents from the edge of Cancún to the center of Denmark in the summer by eighteen. And yet- he found himself staring openly at the building before him, feet planted firmly in the middle of the parking lot as if he’d never seen something so utterly huge, so daunting.
Twenty five stories, curved wide around him into what he could only describe as half an arena, towering, waiting for him to dare to come and fight for what was rightfully his- something he had never asked for in the first place. His life.
There’s cars coming and going- patients, families, doctors and nurses going home and some just starting their days paying no mind to him at all. Flowing around him like an everyday obstacle, like it was no surprise for some sick kid to be gazing upward in what might be awe, what might just be fear.
OR
Steve Harrington is dying, displaced, lost.
Eddie Munson and the Hellfire club can give him a new home.
