Asta was pretty sure that everything currently happening to him was fate’s way of messing with him. But well, getting thrown into another dimension was just another shitty obstacle on his road toward being the Wizard King. It would take more than that to stop him!
Now if only everyone he met would stop treating him as if he was a kicked puppy!

The guard had mentioned the name of the cafe, too. Laughed over it. He'd called it Leblanc, and Akira had grabbed at the name of the place that could have been his home, the place that represents the difference between having freedom and not, and keeps it tucked in close to him. For long nights in a dorm-cell with no windows, and for moments like this when he desperately wants to be anywhere else.
Akira Kurusu is arrested for assault. When his proposed probation falls through, he's locked up for the year instead.
And elsewhere in Tokyo, in a world that Akira knows nothing of at all, someone called Joker teaches a group of Phantom Thieves how to change a heart.

Summary
It’s—God, everything is so—Dean’s supposed to be this all-knowing guy. This gifted savior come to fix all that got screwed over before. But the longer he’s allowed to make choices and the longer he squeezes himself into this body that doesn’t fit him anymore, the more he feels like he’s just not cut out for it.
He's not smart enough for this. Not creative or artistic enough—if the past were made out of clay, vulnerable to whatever shape Dean’s hands are capable of making, then he thinks the past might take the shape of a gun. He imagines the timeline crumpling in his hands to the metaphorical barrel end of it, a dark tunnel waiting for the inevitable explosion to go off by his calloused fingers.

Or: During the rapture, in a moment of hopelessness, Jack sends Dean back to 2015 on a mission: Kill God. Only, he gets the day wrong and Dean pops up in 2008, freshly out of hell with too much baggage and not a clue how to stop Chuck. He also struggles with accountability (or lack thereof). He didn't know what he expected. Maybe piles and piles of gold and treasure, closely guarded by a massive scaly beast, red or blue or black and breathing fire. Maybe with wings, maybe not. Maybe it would have red eyes and maybe it would attack as soon as it saw Dean. He was expecting—well, he was expecting a dragon.
Not... this.
"This" being a young man with dark hair, too blue eyes, and a tilt to his head. He didn't... look like a dragon. He just looked confused.
(Dean/Castiel fairy tale AU in which Dean is a prince who goes to slay a dragon, and Castiel is cursed to turn into a dragon every night.)
