Two large, warm hands press against his jaw and when he surfaces like a drowning man, he’s looking into his husband’s very worried green eyes.
Stiles brings his own hands to Derek’s chest and counts his fingers. Derek’s frown becomes more pronounced as he rubs Stiles’s shoulders. “There’s ten, right? You’re awake.”
“Yeah.” Stiles didn’t even realize he was hyperventilating until he finds it difficult to speak. “That’s, uh, somehow worse.”
“What’s going on?” Eli asks. He looks very small sitting on the hospital examination table.
Stiles opens his mouth but doesn’t know what to say to his son. Instead, he looks back at Derek and whispers, “it’s back.”

Summary
Sure, they've saved the world, but the best part of that really is that it doesn't end there and in a town where everyone thinks he murdered a girl, he's at least got Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley. It's really not his fault he accidentally starts living at Steve's house, he was invited, after all. There's a mystery too, about Barbara Holland and Steve's pool.
“Your boner is digging into me,” says Robin, and Steve snorts a tired sort of laugh.
“I don’t have a —”
“You do, I can feel it. Gross.”
“Okay, but it’s only a little one,” he says in a small voice which sounds like he’s impersonating someone.
“Are you ever going to let that go? I peed a little bit when the Russians got the torture devices out, okay?” She sounds amused, though.
Eddie jolts. “Russian torture devices?”
Robin carries on like she didn’t hear him but Steve catches his eye and he’s grinning. “How do you even have a boner dude? You were definitely having a nightmare I know your twitching means a nightmare… Did you have a boner over Vecna?”

“He’s gotta get a job somewhere, Tommy,” Carol says, rolling her eyes. “Even if it is playing nanny for some creepy old man and his creepy kids in their creepy old mansion out in the middle of the creepy old countryside.”
“Oh my god,” Steve says, snapping his suitcase shut. “I’m gonna be fine. Edward Munson is a rich bastard who is looking for an ‘au pair’ for his seven kids. He’s just gonna be some rich old asshole who wants someone else to parent his kids for him.”
“You mean like daddy dearest, but with more children?” Carol snickers.
Steve flips her off even though he agrees. “Exactly like daddy dearest,” he says, “Which is why I’ll be great at this."

His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
