Summary
Techno slammed his fists against the transparent wall of his prison, trying his best to break it down. His captors backed up, whistling anxiously to each other.
He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

To be honest, the only good thing to come out of this scenario is the fact he doesn't have to pay for college anymore. That's a win in his book, because college was going to be very pricey and he wasn’t looking to be thousands of dollars in debt.
Or course, he was hoping to graduate high school first before going to college, and then maybe go into astrology. And then go into space. If he even wanted to study astrology or whatever you call looking at the stars and whatever NASA does.
Techno has skipped a few steps somewhere, and is now at the finish line before he has even started. Which is to say, he's currently in space. Further than even the moon, like Techno now has bragging rights for being the first human to ever venture out further than the moon. He’s never wanted these bragging rights, he's not even all that interested in space and those floating chunks of space rocks.

Tommy needed to get the fuck out of here yesterday.
He slammed his foot down on the brake of his stolen car and shifted into drive, ignoring the chaos of the superpowered fight going on less than a block away. He was about to pull out of the alley he was hidden in when the passenger door was abruptly yanked open. Tommy jumped, head snapping towards the door.
He came face to face with a man wearing an opaque black veil.
Shit.
Or: Tommy is a teenager on the run from the number one superhero in the city, Dream. In his most humble opinion, he's doing great at staying under the radar while making his escape attempt.
That is until three of the most feared villains in the city decide he's now their getaway driver. Fuck his life

“You’re leaving me? But… the monsters…”
He can practically feel Dream’s eyes roll behind the mask. “You’re safe enough here. You always complain that you want to come down anyway. Here’s the freedom you so desperately wanted. Enjoy it.”
That’s… that’s not what Tommy meant. And Dream knows it.
“Dream,” he whimpers. “Don’t leave me alone.”
The drider turns away, walking back in the direction they came. Without a glance back.
“Dream!” Tommy screams. He bolts forward, reaching out, so close-
The rope goes taut. Blue eyes widen as he chokes and flails, vision blackening for just a moment.
When Tommy sits back up, Dream is gone.

Summary
Tommy and Wilbur lived in the house of two Giants, hidden between the walls and borrowing what they needed to survive. So far, they were undetected and determined to stay that way.
But the Giants weren’t home right now, so Tommy was only a little bit careful to be quiet as he scrambled through the mousehole and made his way to the kitchen. He was huffing and puffing by the time he hauled himself up onto the countertop and his hands burned from the thread he’d climbed. He wound it back up around his waist as he caught his breath, then started hunting for food.
He was lucky. There was a slice of cake on the counter, wrapped in plastic wrap. Tommy took a chunk of it and wrapped it up before burying it in his pack. (And a swipe of frosting for himself as a mid-scavenging treat.) After that, he managed to track down bread, a bit of peanut butter that was stuck on a knife, and one blueberry.
Wilbur was going to be so impressed.

“Eat, keep warm, I’ll see you in a few days.” His voice was deep and growly and Tommy shivered and nodded. Techno stalked out and it took a full five minutes for Tommy to get himself to move again.
His chest ached, his instincts screaming that he had upset his protector but he shoved them away, Techno was not his protector. The rest of his shift was hell, his instincts wouldn’t settle and he switched between wanting to hunt down Techno to apologize and running away forever. Eventually he was able to go home and he collapsed onto his mattress and cried himself to sleep.or
Tommy is a Piglin without a sounder struggling to survive on his own, Techno finds him one evening and decides his sounder could use a feral child.

It sounds like fucking Heaven or some shit he thinks. Impossible to obtain and ridiculous to be offered. The tight feeling in his chest gets worse; vision suddenly blurry. He inhaled but it shudders in his chest and throat.
This is mean, he thinks, this is cruel.
But it’s the Angel of Death; and the man has always been nothing if not cruel.

Summary
Another louder crash, and Tommy hardly sees one of the aisles collapse in on itself before he’s buried his face in Wilbur’s chest.
His heart is thumping like he’s running a marathon, and all but his legs are wrapped around Wilbur. Shaking and uncontrollably chirping, Tommy still doesn’t think he’s felt safer in his life than in Wilbur’s arms.
And Wilbur is hugging Tommy back, rubbing above his wings and whispering, “It’s fine, no one was hurt. It only fell, dear. I’ve got you.”
Tommy can’t totally understand the words, not when his mind is a jumble of fear and adrenaline. He’s all instincts now, but he knows that Wilbur is protecting him and Wilbur will keep him safe. Tommy can’t even fight his birdbrain when the name of his foster brother is replaced by the title, dad.

Or: Tommy accidentally imprints on his human foster brother, Wilbur, after a minor inconvenience. Now, he feels pressured to keep his instincts and feelings a secret… which should be easy enough, right?

He knows his voice isn’t anything, not when Siren hovers over him, stronger, faster, and more powerful. A nationwide threat towering over a teenager. “Si, if you don’t let me go-”
“You’ll what?” Siren challenges, “Tell me, what?”
Tears brim in Tommy’s eyes. Really, sometimes, he does feel too young for this.
“I’ll- I’ll make you, I’ll make you hear-” Tommy doesn’t want to though, not to Siren, not to his friend (but to a villain, to survive, must he?). “I’ll make you hear bad things.”
Siren hums sadly. “But you won’t, will you? Just as I’d never use my power to hurt you.”
Tommy’s heart takes a normal beat for the first time since Siren grabbed him. “Yeah,” He exhales in relief.
“But you’re not being safe, are you?” Siren lets go of Tommy’s hands. “So don’t use your power and stay still.”

He is imperceivable afterall.
It's a shitty power, one he was cursed with at ten years old. Almost everybody receives a power when they turn ten, some extremely useful and some not so much. An even rarer few don’t receive anything at all. However, Tommy’s is in one of the most uncommon categories: life ruining.
He woke up to a mother who didn’t even know she had a son, and a father who didn’t hug Tommy back no matter how tightly Tommy squeezed. He threw things, broke the coffee pot, even ripped one of his mother’s paintings, but it was like he didn’t exist.
