For the first time, it occurs to Red Alert that perhaps Prowl understands – that maybe this act of harm is his own way of feeling right in a world that’s gone mad, his cries unheard in the current. And isn’t that very idea just mad? It’s utterly inconceivable that he should suddenly find a sense of closure in knowing he’s not the only one unable to sleep, needing the comfort of data to lull him into a sense of wholeness. Yet, he does. He painfully does.
The only question is, where to go from here?

From the moment Prowl first heard his name, he had never forgotten it. It hung around his neck like a noose, a shadow whose steps mirrored his own. He could hear his presence no matter which door he took, a heavy thump of a noise packed with authority. Just the sight of those damned glyphs could set his teeth gnashing, his optics flitting away as if staring down the barrel of a gun.
His processor would throw a screeching tantrum that threatened to escalate into a full-blown helmache. It still does, even after the amount of time that has happened.
No, Prowl has never forgotten Orion Pax. Even in death, he doubts he’ll ever be free of the mech standing before him. He’ll more than likely die thinking of red and blue, throat clogged full of energon wanting to be purged.
