Edwin Payne auditions for the Port Townsend Ballet School summer programme, mostly as a way to get as far away from his parents as possible for the holidays, but also so that he can study at one of the top studios, and get one step closer to his dream of getting a professional job in a dance company someday.
He learns about a lot more than dancing while there, from the various other influences that he can't help but let into his life. Chiefly, his new friends; Niko, Crystal... and Charles Rowland.

Summary
After the Dead Boy Detectives (& living associates) leave Port Townsend, things get a little quiet. And boring. But Port Townsend doesn't have its reputation as a weird mystery town for no reason. Strange things have always happened here, strange things will always happen here, and really in the grand scheme of things, how strange is it for a crow who was a boy who was a crow to show up as a boy again?
Not strange at all, really. But fascinating, for any bored, bright eyes to watch and see what happens.
