Summary
Mac is afraid of heights. Mac knows he’s afraid of heights.
So why the hell does he keep volunteering to have his feet over 100m from the floor?
OR
For someone who’s afraid of heights, Mac sure seems to find himself suspended from a ridiculous height more often than should be allowed. The effects of the elevator shaft and scaling the building are a bit delayed, but Jack and the team are there to help him when they do finally hit.

Summary
Ghostbur never did show up that day. He tended to make himself scarce when you were around. Right before twilight, in the light of the dying sun, you fished with your trident. You let Tommy use it, too; better than the short wooden spear he’d been relying on. You even removed your mask—something you rarely did before dark, let alone in public. Even though nobody was going to come out there. Half-naked, the both of you roasted your catch on the beach, licking the grease off your fingers in a rare moment of true companionship.
You laid back, pillowing your head on your arm to look at the stars. The moon was a little less than halfway full, so you’d be able to see him even without the firelight. When you turned your head, he was staring at you, inscrutable. He sat on top of a stripped log that was beginning to rot from seawater.
“What?” you asked.
“Nothing,” he said, poking at the fire with a stick. When he got bored of that, he started building a cairn out of fishbones and seashells.
You left it alone.
