Our story starts with a young cookie (Six? Eight? He couldn’t quite remember how old, but that didn't matter to him now anyway.) A seemingly endless forest surrounding him, wandering for as long as he could remember. Finding small, tranquil places to rest in couldn't always guarantee him safety from any of the forest’s looming threats. He never encountered any, much to his luck.

Summary
Moondrop, caretaker of the daycare, always did his job diligently.
He was a hard worker. Took care of the kids he watched over. Made sure the daycare was in order. And hardly ever complained about his job. Why would he? He was built specifically to do this. No matter how tiring it could be some days.
However, after an incident in the daycare, Fazbear staff think it's time that he had some extra hands to help run the daycare.
One thing leads to another, and somehow, Moon ends up with a baby brother named Sundrop.
Now he has to run the daycare with his new 'brother' as everyone hopes he bonds with Sun enough to tolerate working with him when he gets older, or fail and decommission both bots.

It analysed the foreign substance trapped within its crystal. It generated itself from fragmented light and DNA, and used it to mend the microscopic pieces missing from itself like mortar between bricks.

Summary
Connie Swap is a completed fanfic series with Connie as the gem hybrid trying to live up to the expectations put on her by her guardians (Peridot, Lapis, and Jasper), her dad (Doug), and the long shadow cast by her mom (Citrine). Connie's adventure begins with Episode 1: Gem Glow and it quickly diverges from there.
Connie Swap draws inspiration from the show but it reinterprets as it goes: Connie is a very different protagonist than Steven and these are very different Crystal Gems. Each episode contains original art and several contain original songs.

It's been a while since I read this, but I highly recommend it! There is just so much about these characters and the themes that are just handled well. Definitively one of my favorite Steven Universe AU's out there.
