According to Council records, the Fulgur Ovium Zedaph Pleighs and his two co-workers - the Ignis Petra Tango of the Tek Clan and the Inferni ImpulseSV - are officially called Sapience Outreach Specialists. They jokingly refer to themselves though as the First Contact Crew. It’s up to them to determine the sentience and sapience of alien races that either volunteer or are brought to them by the Council.
And recently the Council has brought them one hell of a challenge: determine the sentience and sapience of a recently discovered species called Terrans using an individual that they nickname Blue.Meanwhile Skizz just wants to be treated like a person by the aliens that abducted him and go back to Earth…

Taako knew he had a soulmate, at least according to the simple but elegant tattoo that wrapped down his arm. He didn't ping Sazed as someone who matched it, didn't imagine he was the kind of person he was destined to be with. After some time though, he'd begun to notice some things, and that's what people always said, right? A lot of time it wasn't obvious right away, you needed to wait and get to learn your soulmate before you realized it was them.
Taako had a soulmate, back before Glamour Springs when his life fell apart. He had a soulmate, and it wasn't Kravitz.

It’s the next morning, her mouth bone dry and her stomach unsteady and Lup snoring under her cheek, that Lucretia remembers an oversight the size of a fucking planet. She squeezes her eyes shut and pictures it. Her journal, lying prone and unprotected on the side table in the living room, pen left where she stopped writing to mark the page where she went on a pathetic rant about the very girl sleeping beneath her. A girl who, for all her kissing and touching and cuddling, didn’t give Lucretia much more physical attention than anyone else as far as she could tell.

Resistant to a process or stimulus.Kravitz, a young orthopedic surgeon, is thrust into what feels like a different reality when he meets psychiatric patient, Taako. In a strange flurry of events, he finds himself being drawn toward this man, spending more and more time in a department that he used to hate and becoming invested in a patient who isn't one of his own.
Taako, an in-denial anorexia patient, is forced into a long-term hospital stay by friends and family who worry about his waning health. When he meets an attractive doctor from another wing, he begins to wonder if maybe this was the star-crossed love that he was always destined for. At least, that's what hundreds of episodes of Grey's Anatomy taught him.
In other words, the hospital drama nobody wanted but everyone got. Now complete!
