Summary
Sylas stood up, casting the book aside as he walked towards the window. Thanks to him being a vampire, he had very little trouble seeing in natural darkness, and so despite the late hour, he was easily able to see that while the downpour outside was torrential, it was at least thankfully still rain and not anything more dangerous.
Still… rain could be dangerous. At least to humans. A human could catch cold in weather like this, especially if they were not properly dressed for the weather or did not bring an umbrella with them. Especially if they were going to be spending extended periods of time outside… in the middle of this storm… in the cold… and the horrible winds… and the dirt or mud (it would be mud in this weather, Sylas thought to himself with a frown). Yes, all of those things could spell awful fates for humans…
And Delilah was out there checking off all those boxes!
OR:
Sylas wants Delilah to learn to take better care of herself - even when life gets busy - and so he convinces her to allow him to pamper her for the night after she returns from being caught outside in a storm.

It was not as though Cazador was unaware of the risks that his friendship with the mortal man – or with anyone, really – brought. He knew all too well that it was a direct violation of his Master’s second rule: always dominate, allow none to be your equal. And he knew the punishment for breaking any of his Master’s rules was severe.
But the heart is not so easily swayed by logic, so despite the potential risks and consequences, he allowed the friendship to blossom. They met in secret, with Cazador sneaking off during his nightly hunts to meet with his friend. It offered a beautiful escape, if only for a few hours each night.
And after each of their meetings, Cazador would pray with all his heart to any deity who may be listening. Pray that his friendship with the mortal may go undetected. That neither he nor the man whom was his only companion in the world would ever have to face Vellioth’s wrath.
Tonight, however, Cazador is about to find out that those prayers went unanswered.

Well, Tim is resourceful, even if he’s a cat now. Bruce is still on patrol and won’t be back for a while, but Dick and Damian are both at the manor. Tim will make his way there, tap out morse code to explain what happened, and then they’ll get him turned back into regular ol’ Tim.
All in all, this will just be a minor setback.
