His mind was well made up, guilt or no, and he nosed behind the other man's ear, breathing deep of his scent. How a beta smelled so good to him, he still couldn't guess. But Law's personal scent was rich, multilayered. ... Mostly, when they did this, he smelled of a pure, unbridled and unabashed need. A put-on submission that he wore over his earned pride like a mantle but wore well; desire and no hint of embarrassment about it in the least.
That, Smoker thought, was what did it for him. It was far from the only thing, but it was what made him crazy.

Dick gets a call in the midst of his heat informing him that Bruce has been kidnapped and is likely compromised due to an Ivy concoction. Dick refuses to get any of his family involved, well aware how dangerous Bruce is when in a rage. Slade is unfortunately the only person Dick can think of that can go toe to toe with a feral Batman long enough for a rescue.

Law's struggling to untangle the way he feels about Kid and the way he feels about Luffy. So? The only logical solution is to get blackout drunk and figure out a way to rearrange his guts and maybe, accidentally, his whole damn heart.

The mix of whiskey and painkillers is doing its job, dulling the edges of his thoughts until everything feels soft and far away. Still, he manages to muster enough coherence to ask, “So, what’s the deal, Eustass-ya? You wanna fuck me because you think I’m interesting or because it’ll give you clout?”
“Clout?!” Kid repeats, his grin spreading wide enough to show his teeth. “I don’t need any fuckin’ clout, Surgeon. You think I’m out here keepin’ score? Nah, I’ve just heard some freaky shit about you. Figured I’d see for myself if you’re as much of a slut as they say.”

Stan and Ford must now find a way to kill Bill, get the family back to Earth, and try to keep the ghosts of their past from tearing them apart. Again. Same boat, different planks, and neither one can deal with their own reflection in the water.
