The only thing she needs to do is spend Halloween night in a very haunted house, trap Death when he comes to release the spirits for the night, and get him to agree to a very specific request.

Cornered in a cave by cultists who hunt Force-adepts, Rey is bitten by a spider whose toxin carries unique properties. Once captured by the Knights of Ren who were sent to wipe out the cult, she is ensconced in Kylo's quarters until the poison wears off. It's supposed to be non-transmittable, but maybe Kylo is feeling the effects of the spider bite, too.....

~The parrot is crammed into the back corner of the supply store where the vents are loudest and the ceiling mildewed. He’s wearing a chipped plastic bite collar and less than a third of his dark feathers.
The rest are arrayed on the floor of the cage in a pitiful, dirty pile.
As she approaches he ducks away, shy. Trembling, hiding his face in the worn tarp that covers the cage.

Which Ben inevitably does: but that's not where he wants them to end, and maybe Rey doesn't either.

The surviving members seek refuge in an abandoned treehouse hunting lodge on Kashyyyk where few locals set foot due to the legends about the forest to the northwest of their encampment. Rey struggles to find her place in this new life so soon after leaving everything she ever knew in Jakku, and her bond with Kylo Ren remains intact despite Snoke’s death. They continue to grow closer as the Resistance becomes more fractured, and Rey is tempted by the Dark Side in more ways than she ever expected.
