Summary
Sabo picked up the brush and let the muse overtake him.
When he finally blinked back to awareness, some hours later, it was to a sight different than he’d been expecting. One or both of the figures — it’s been a while since he’d drawn Halo, he was about due for a piece — or a landscape, be it of the forest or the sea: That would have been normal.
Instead, he had drawn sake cups.
Or: Sabo's memories don't return any faster, but he gets glimpses at his past through art therapy

Summary
Ace glanced back at him, eyes dead. He seemed even worse than he was back on Dawn, back in his worst bouts of existential depression- "If the universe wanted to give me back a brother, I wish it had been Luffy."
The doors closed and Sabo stood there, frozen.
He couldn't really blame Ace. If he had a choice, he would have traded his life for Luffy's, too.
Or: Ace and Luffy's fates are reversed. Ace takes Sabo's reveal WAY worse than Luffy did

Summary
At the rate at which he was going, Strawhat was going to do Akainu's job for him.
Law understood grief; Really, he did. He understood survivor's guilt, he understood witnessing the death of someone he loved while unable to do anything to save them, he understood wanting to die.
It didn't make watching Strawhat go through the same process any easier.
At least he wasn't destroying the Polar Tang anymore. Once they arrived at Amazon Lily — and once Law stopped shambling him back to bed every time he tried to leave — Luffy had been spending all of his time out on the shore.
Destroying the Kuja's forest, bafflingly with the Empress' blessing. Working out his grief. Ruining all of Law's hard work.
Or: Ace and Law had been in a relationship. It didn't change the outcome of Marineford; It did change the aftermath.

Summary
Monkey D. Luffy leaves the world in a way completely different from how he lived in it.
There was no grand battle, no opponent strong enough to finally defeat him... Unless one would count life itself.
Perhaps it is simply the curse of the Pirate King, to die young. Perhaps the universe decided this is the price for reaching the mythical last island. Perhaps Luffy has always been meant to leave at this time, and his achievements meant nothing in the face of that.
He leaves his crew behind, but they can't begrudge him. Luffy hates being alone, they all know that; As much as they hate losing him, it is better than if he has to lose them first.
Or: Luffy dies. The world has to cope.

"It's Dragon's Claw," Sabo corrected absently, dropping the tiger he was holding next to a pile of wood. Then, he realized a big issue. "What are we supposed to do with those?"
“Eat them, dummy!”
Well that was very unhelpful.
“But they have to be butchered, first, you can’t just-” Sabo turned towards Luffy, just in time to see him hold his tiger up by the tail, attempting to work a sharpened branch into its behind. “...What. Are you doing.”
“We gotta put it on a stick so we can roast it!”
Sabo clasped his gloved hands together, pressing them against his mouth, the feel of leather on his lips grounding him in the face of such a declaration.
Or: still-amnesiac Sabo spends one random January 1st on Dawn Island. it changes very little.

In the ensuing chaos, Vivi had only barely managed to catch the blonde boy sneaking in from a side passage, coming to a stop near the stairs. Another blonde boy had soon barrelled down said stairs, almost crashing into the first one and catching everyone’s attention.
“Ah, those are our children!” Queen Didit — she had insisted they call her that every time — said with a weird titter. “My darling Stelly! And…” Her voice turned significantly colder and less enthusiastic. “Our firstborn, Sabo.”
…No favourites in that family, Vivi thought dryly.
OR: Vivi comes over for a diplomatic mission years before Luffy's supposed to set sail

Summary
4 years ago, Luffy disappeared out of the mountains of Mt. Columbo, only leaving his hat behind. Sabo was declared dead to anyone who lived on Goa and Ace was left all alone, as he now has to live with the guilt of being the only one left behind.
And 4 years after the initial tragedy that originally separated them, the sudden appearance of a runaway slave sparks the lost memories of the young revolutionary, as the brothers reunite, they find themselves on a journey to try to fix the broken pieces of what they once had.

Ace thought he had died at Marineford. How could he not, after getting a hole punched through his chest? Yet, despite everything, he wakes up and is greeted by a brother he thought was dead.
Somehow, instead of dying, he had travelled back to Dawn, ten years in the past.
He refused to let history repeat itself. He had a second chance, and he wouldn't let this world take the people he cared about away from him again. Not without a fight.

Summary
Younger Luffy Au, as in Lu being 6 year younger than in canon meaning he's 1 when Garp leaves him with 10 yo Ace and Sabo. As such, Sabo never gets seen by his father as he's with Luffy at that moment. When they set out, at 17, they take Luffy with them and meet up periodically to switch out who keeps him with them (which means Dragon also gets a chance with his son) and the WBP get to see a chance to see another Ace. Also, the idea is for Sabo to just appear on the Moby with Lu on his hip his voice carrying, "what's going on here." While Luffy wiggles down and hugs Ace tightly, making him all melt.

If there was one thing that the rich and elite loved to purchase, it was hybrids. Humans who possessed animal traits, and luckily for those who bought them, who also possessed no rights. They were open to be used however the buyer pleased, for pleasure, entertainment, money… whatever suited their needs. But some hybrids are hard to train. They refuse to listen to their masters no matter how much they are disciplined. Instead of giving up on them, these hybrids are often given a very special job.

It’s bad.
It’s really bad.
Dream can’t see because everything is spinning, and he can barely put one word in front of the other to greet Quackity when he enters the cell. He can’t even organise his thoughts to realise he’s still concussed, that his ribs are definitely not healing correctly. That he’s not eating enough to survive in a best case scenario.
OR:
Quackity interrogates Dream. It's only a matter of time until Dream breaks, either from exhaustion, malnutriton, injury, or a combination of all three. Although, it seems as though Quackity is beginning to lose his humanity in the process, as little comfort as that can be.
