Summary
It started with a Hawaiian shirt: a burnt orange sunset-y colour, covered with white gardenia blooms and subtle, gently looming silhouettes of palm trees.
The shirt was nice, with fabric that had a weightlessness to it, shifting every so often, almost as if it had been stirred by an ocean breeze. Its colours were bright in a peaceful way, not a headache-inducing one.
No, it wasn’t the shirt with which Jon took issue.
Rather, it was the context of the situation through which the shirt had appeared in the Archives, and specifically the attitude of its wearer, that had Jon crossing his arms and sporting his first scowl of the day.
In which Tim is determined to have a relaxing Beach Day in the Archives, Jon is strongly opposed, Martin deserves a break, and Sasha makes the drinks.

The three of them gazed at it in wonder on the water’s surface, hypnotized by the way its colors shifted faster than a cuttlefish and its silvery metallic appearance. Just like one of the human boats.
Wil swam through it on a dare. They all laughed as he darted in headfirst.
That was until he emerged on the other side, heaving and clawing at his gills in pain.
And that was only the beginning.
It spread its tendrils further into the water and their home turned into hell.

Ranboo is quite tall, this is an inescapable fact. There are good things about it just as there are bad things and even neutral things, just as there would be had he been any other height. It doesn't usually bother him, at least not in a way that's consistently obtrusive or apparent, but one particular thing seems to be nagging at him lately. He's not going to let it get to him, not with his upcoming stay at the Watsons'. He can't be all down in the dumps when he meets Technoblade for the first time, after all!
(On second thought, maybe being upset about it isn't so bad as long as Techno is there.)

Ranboo's imposing height often makes it somewhat of an inconvenience to be cradled or carried. It's not really that big of a deal, honest, he just sort of hadn't realized exactly how much he might want that until now, is all.

The fae was tall. Much taller than Tommy, and probably anyone else in the village for that matter. Hair the color of dark oak spilled over his forehead in tumbling curls. Flecks of gold dotted his cheeks like freckles, sitting underneath a pair of knowing eyes that seemed to flash between shades of earth and honey. His tall frame was draped in the most expensive-looking clothes Tommy had ever seen—flowing fabric in shades of snow and sunlight billowed in the light breeze. And there was so much jewelry. Gold bands decorated his arms, dangling gems decorated his pointed ears, and a shimmering gold circlet rested on his forehead.
Past the beauty though, there was danger. His nails were pointed, his teeth too sharp. When Tommy tried to look him in the eyes, his head grew fuzzy, as if perceiving the fae directly wasn’t something he was supposed to attempt.
He was smiling as he looked over Tommy.
“Are you lost?” He asked in that same lyrical voice.
