    Summary

Tommy was handed a small flyer in printed in black and white, with the words “POETRY NIGHT - OPEN MIC” splayed across the front in bubbled font. He fumbled with his binder as he took it, eyes wide as he said, “are you sure? I mean, I love poetry and all, but I don’t think-I’m not sure—what if I can’t write poetry?”

Mr. Sam’s dark eyes softened, and he reached out to place a hand on Tommy’s shoulder, squeezing it gently. “Everyone has to start somewhere; every poet, from me to Rudy Francisco, started off without knowing a clue about what we were doing. Tommy, it’s not about if you can or cannot write poetry, it’s about if you want to.”

    Summary

Life is hard enough to navigate when your parents did nothing but destroy your sense of self, and you never figured out how to be a better version of yourself. It makes it hard to even get out of bed and take care of yourself, much less be an anchor for others who feel the same way.
Maximus, Willy, and Vegetta are learning this fact the hard way, holding each other tightly and capable of spinning out of control at a moments' notice.
Somehow, one person or the other is making everybody else sink down, down, down. . .

    Summary

Zombies. We’ve always had them. They’re life’s last-ditch attempt at thwarting death; reanimated corpses acting out an echo of their lives. Dangerous, sure, but mainly an inconvenience. Burn your dead, build walls, keep an eye out at night—you’ll be fine. But this… sculk. It makes zombies look like kittens.

    And it’s spreading.

    --

It's been two years since the sculkers appeared and society collapsed. A mistake forces Grian and Mumbo to leave the safety of their city walls and face the terrors of this new world. In their search for answers, they find familiar faces and befriend new ones, discovering joy blossoming in the ruins of the apocalypse. However, time is running out as Grian and Mumbo fight to survive, dealing with love, loss and an enigmatic robot. But not every monster comes from the shadows. Some come from within.
