Pickles had assumed that if any of his parents die, he would be relieved or not feel anything. He hadn't talked to them in years at that point, it would just be like it was before, right?That would be his assumption until his mother suddenly passes away.
And throughout the course of the funeral and burial back in his hometown, he realizes how wrong he really was.

Summary
All the mothers of Dethklok deserve to have their story told. Without them and all associated parties, we wouldn't have our band that we love so much. This collection is not meant to justify any wrong doings they might have done in the past, but rather, give context as to what they might have had to do in order to raise their family and maintain their sanity. This is all my interpretations and theories. I am not claiming anything as canon or fact.
