“He used your death across every timeline to make a fixed point to anchor them together.” Then he scrunched his face, jerking his head sideways, processing potential outcomes to explain her presence. “Then, how are you here now?”
“How many chairs are there in the study room?” She asked.
Stepping back a half step, he gasped as if the truth was so tired of being ignored it had resorted to smacking him.
"I'm a perfect idiot…." he exhaled.
"Oh, that's not true, Abed." She managed a smirk. "Nobody's perfect."

If they start to manifest, get out, run for the bamboo, they can't follow you there.” Steve yanked Billy in close and whispered into his ear. “Do not let them latch onto you, they will leech your life away.”
Fear pooled in the pit of Billy’s stomach, he looked out toward the wooden shrines, goose bumps rising all over his skin.
“Billy, don't give them power over you. Don't believe. The torii will always stay in the same place, but the shrines will move to confuse you, let it guide you.”
Billy pulled away just enough to look into Steve’s eye, the driver swallowed hard and reluctantly let Billy go.
