Summary
Merlin and Arthur travel to an outlying village in Camelot seeking a stolen amulet. What they find is a thriving magical community with druids wandering the town's market freely. Unfortunately for Merlin, he is recognized as Emrys. How will Arthur respond when he finds out?

Summary
After Guinevere is is crowned Queen, Merlin grows restless in waiting for Morgana to make a move. He seeks her out, leaving behind letters for his King, his lover, and his guardian. If anything were to happen while he was in search of her, his mother would bring the letters to Camelot.
Merlin is able to prevent Aithusa from being captured by the Sarrum, but is held himself, along with Morgana, in the dark for two years. Once Merlin is free, he finds a different Camelot than the one he left behind.

Summary
Gaius hum noncommittally, “I think perhaps it’s time we had a proper discussion about your heritage.”
He blinks. When Gaius spoke about his familial ties, he was either gleeful recalling his youth with his sister or remarking mysteriously about his nature as Emrys and his responsibility to the magical community.
He tries for the first option, “Mum?”
A shake of the head indicates no.
“…the inherent cosmic-shattering nature of my general and unfortunate existence?”
A scowl indicates annoyance.
“What then?”
The physician harrumphs and gives up on mixing things in vials, “Your father was a dragonlord.”
Merlin and Balinor get to know each other for longer than an hour.

"Having been near you all these years, I am not unaware of the goings on of court, or the way you nobles like to do things.” He gives a half smile at that but doesn’t convince himself of his own humor, “I also know… that when a new king comes to power, he inherits his predecessor’s information network. His spies.”
Arthur leans back, folding his arms and narrowing his eyes, “That’s true, Merlin. I’ve been expecting whomever my father’s last spymaster was to come to me for days now. Do you know who it is?”
Don’t fidget. Don’t shift your weight. Goddess take you, Merlin, stand still. He clears his throat, “It was Gaius for a long time.”
The young king relaxes an imperceptible amount, and nods, “He’d have access to everyone, from villager to noble, and friendly relationships with most. Who is it now?”
Merlin stares at him, then spreads his palms helplessly, “Me.”
Merlin is Camelot’s spymaster and must reveal himself as such to Arthur when he becomes king.

Bereft of the emotions that should have come at the implications of the sentence, Uther's tone is stoic as if his own son is a common prisoner. “You are to leave Camelot by nightfall. If we find you have returned to the grounds of this kingdom we will have no choice but to carry out your original sentence in the highest order.”
Exiled and disinherited? Brilliant.

Obviously go hunting with his closest friends and manservant, who he totally isn't in love with, but with the luck Merlin and Arthur have put together they of course get attacked. Causing a series of events leading to betrayal, love, magic and... Dancing?

Summary
As a druid, Mordred had been raised on the stories of the old gods, of their lord Emrys and how his coming would mean freedom for their people. What he had trouble with was seeing Merlin -clumsy, gangly, grinning Merlin- as anything more than a faltering servant. That is, until Emrys shows him otherwise.
Basically Merlin is a god and it’s time Mordred accepted this.

Merlin feels the warmth of the drink in his throat and in belly. His tongue, heavy and thick in his mouth.
Arthur grins at him and it's soft around the edges. Warm and fuzzy. Merlin forgets what he was even concerned about.
The rest of the night becomes a bit of a blur.

Merlin thought he was doing the right thing. He thought telling Arthur that magic had no place in Camelot he'd be able to save his friend. When he sees the mistake he made, he leaves Camelot. Unable to handle the burden of what he had condemned his friends to. Arthur, Gwen, Gaius, and the Knights of the Round Table seek out the Druids to find out everything they can about Merlin and his magic in hopes they can find their friend and bring him home.
(Merlin left letters behind explaining why he had to leave. A majority of the story will be centered on everyone except Merlin as they learn about him and his sacrifices)
