There's something familiar about Neville Longbottom, the gardener. He seems to loathe her from the day lays eyes on her, but when she sees that the purple flowers blooming all around his greenhouse are Pansies, she begins to realize that perhaps hate and love are not such different things.

She’d finally done it.
Rosalie exhales slowly—her wet, gloved hands hovering just above the edge of the patient’s bed. She’s not supposed to be here. Not this late, not in this wing of the hospital—where all of the cadavers awaiting incineration are stored.
Not at all, really.
But it doesn’t matter. She’d accomplished what she’d set out to do. And her position as chief neurologist and orthopedic surgeon of Forks Medical Center was no longer a necessary appearance she has to keep up. It granted her access to the tools she needed. Fresh bodies. Organs. Fresh blood.

Zayne rubs his palms together, brisk and mechanical, waiting for the sanitizer to dry. He doesn’t bother warming them. Part of him wants the chill to make Rafayel flinch.
“I’m going to listen to your heart, palpate a bit, then check your temp—just making sure your vitals are all within normal range, alright?”
Rafayel nods too eagerly—head tilted, eyes bright. Like a dog thrilled by the attention. He straightens up on the bed, long legs stretching toward the end, striped socks peeking out from beneath the blankets.
Zayne lifts his hands and cups the line of Rafayel’s jaw, thumb and index finger angling slightly to palpate along the carotid artery. Skin to skin. Cool fingers. Rafayel startles, breath catching—then softens under the touch as warmth builds between them. His cheeks flush.
A reflexive smile pulls at Zayne’s mouth, small and clinical, meant to settle nerves. But he feels the pulse jump beneath his fingertips. Noted.

As soon as the touch was recognized, it was pulled away, and Tim was left with an aching want for warmth. His father looked down on him, a disappointed look on his face.
