Said someone else promptly goes sprawling, and Link sees it’s a kid. He peers up at Link with hazel eyes blown wide, seemingly frozen where he fell.
Link’s heart gives a pang when he processes how skinny the kid is. His wrist bones jut out of threadbare sleeves, cheeks thin, and Link can count his ribs from here. He can also see the fear painted on the kid’s features, plain as day.
Link raises his hands on instinct, taking a small step back to reassure the kid. “Ah, ‘m real sorry ‘bout that,” he offers, keeping his voice low. He carefully drops to a knee, making sure he’s just as disadvantaged as the kid is, and reaches out a hand up. “You alri—?”
The kid punches him in the face.

"Yes! I personally couldn't believe it either." Warriors pressed his hand to his chest in feigned shock. "I-It really does hurt seeing such- Such hatred between us all!"
Warriors even managed to get a single tear roll down his face.
This might just be his best performance yet.

Twilight has had a very bad several weeks.
Well, wait— waking up in that grove wasn’t that bad. It was the cryptic warning that he got from what he thinks was a goddess immediately afterwards that was bad. And then his birthmark glowing, then dying, then the unexplainable sadness that followed. Yeah, that was bad. But meeting Wild was wonderful. The fact that he was somehow Twilight’s brother was even better.
And the stable was… okay. At least until they tried to take Wild. That… that hurt in more ways than one. (Twilight still can’t breathe right—)
At least the woods are pretty. They’re cold. And a bit dark. And… scary. But at least they’re pretty. Even if he and Wild are hungry all the time.
But the new people— the new grownups. They’re not okay. Nuh uh. It doesn’t matter if they seem really, really nice, or if they keep leaving toys, or blankets, or food—
No. No, the grownups are not okay, because Twilight will never make that mistake again. Grownups are bad. Scary. They hurt.
And Twilight will never let grownups close to them again.
Or: a child Twi and Wild fic, but with a ✨twist✨. And a whole lot of angst.

This is fine, everything is fine.
Sure, Legend’s back in the Dark World, site of some minor boyhood (and bunnyhood) trauma, but he’s got a Moon Pearl, and so does Four, and Sky has the Master Sword. That’s three of them who don’t have to deal with the Dark World transformation curse!
And okay, maybe he’ll have to explain all this a little bit, but he can just leave out that part about the shadows with Four’s face and sword who almost murdered him as an 11 year old. It’s not like it’ll come up.
The odds of said 11 year old being anywhere around are probably super low too, right?

Summary
Twi has never had a problem with the other heroes' odd behaviors. Sure, Time has a tendency to repeat the word "milk" when he's stressed, and Wild usually stares people straight in the eye for way too long, and Legend tends to get destructive when he's feeling crowded, and Four's pica only seems to get worse every time they take whatever metal thing he's absently put in his mouth out again, but that's just them. It's how they are, and there's nothing wrong with that.
He fails to connect this with the fidgeting he habitually quiets in himself, allowing the tension to build rather than easing it.
Fortunately, the other Links are on the watch for ways to help him remember how to self-soothe when he needs to.
Even if it's turning out to be more of a stealth mission than they expected.Series

Zelda was forced to sit down for all of her brother’s quests. She’s desperate to see more of the world than her castle and her stupid work desk. Her only wish is to go on an adventure.
When a portal opens in Link’s orchard, asking for a champion to walk in, and both of the siblings feel compelled to walk into it, the solution to their problem seems more than obvious.
…She hadn’t really planned to impersonate her brother in front of the other heroes, it just kind of happened.

I suck at summaries, and this is my first story. Hopefully you'll stop by and give it a read, semi regular updates and chapter lengths will vary. This will be a slow build, as the first few chapters will be setting up the storyline for later chapters.

Summary
Sky has a separate moment with each member of the team;. Bad decisions, fight scenes and deep conversations ensue. In which:
- Warrior's Hyrule sucks, Sky makes an interesting decision and Warriors is justifiably frustrated.
- There is a thunderstorm, a Guardian and a Lynel, and things go… slightly better than expected, actually.
- A vacation begins, and Outset Island's shores are a nice place to get less nice things off your mind.

- The storm arrives, shit goes down, and Time and Sky have a long awaited conversation.
- Sky, in the past and present. Everything comes to a long, sixteen-part, twenty-three-thousand word conclusion.
