    this is one of the first pieces of work on this account, meaning its old. the first few chapters may be awfully written and ive not gone back through an edited anything. however, give it a chance! despite the bad writing i assure you its worth the read.

    Today was a bad day for leonardo. Hes had bad days before and always hides them. He doesnt understand why hes so stressed out, why he cant speak, why everything is just too loud and bright and disgusting horrible textures oh my god- its fine he can hide it. Its just weaknesses!
    Until he cant hide and his family finds out. His brothers find out theres something wrong with him. Donnie comes to a conclusion, and explains to him that there isnt anything wrong with him,

    Hes just autistic, and thats okay.

    OR how leo got a very late autism diagnosis after a meltdown, and then learns to be more open about his sometimes very concerning mental health.

    rarely ever hurt/no comfort, and there will definetly be chapters that are just fluffy and sweet (moral of the story im not just going to dehumanise autism and make it seem all super bad!)

    It was no secret to anyone who was even acquaintances with Leo that he had a thing for the magical arts. His brothers would frequently get annoyed when he’d hesitate to fight Hypno just to watch his magic tricks, and of course there’s the time they went to the Magic Townhouse… It’s not like they’re annoyed that Leo has an interest of his own; they’d just appreciate it if it didn’t distract him when fighting villains. Right now however, it’s distracting Leo in a completely new way.

    To put it simply, Leo was down bad for his brothers in the worst way possible. However, none of them knew just how badly they were desired. Leo needed to find a simple spell, something that’d let him engage in his fantasy. Leave his brothers agreeable to his advances, but nothing permanent. And don't forget to ensure they won't remember what happened.

    All it'll take is a bit of practicing and Leo's ready to go! Nothing could stop him, and he's definitely covered all of his bases. Definitely didn't forget about the security cameras Donnie has set up everywhere...

    or, at the end of season 2, the Shredder decides to keep Leo and instead sends a message by hurling Splinter's comatose body through the window. This gives him about three months to break Leo down into something new, through a combination of sensory deprivation, sensory overload, and a whole lot of mindfuckery. He wants a loyal devotee, even if he has to cram love down Leo's throat until it's all he's capable of bearing.

    Part of the reason why outer space had seemed so, well, spacious was how easy it was to pass through it all. Constant steps weren’t needed. All he had to do was give a good jump and there he was, soaring through the cosmos. It was almost like he was flying. In another world, it would’ve been fun to explore a foreign galaxy.

    Earth wasn’t like that. Earth was knees knocking together as they struggled to keep him up. It was crutches and physical therapy and chronic pain that’d follow him until he was old and gray. The expectations settled on his chest like stones, stacking on top of every other problem in perfectly topped piles.

    He was so heavy now, he thought.

    “Do you want a hand?” April asked quietly, eyes wide. Leo’s stomach twisted. She looked so scared. He hated seeing his strong sister so down.

Or at resisting the bone-deep instincts to bare his neck, dive to his knees, trade out reality for falsehoods if only it meant five more minutes without the end of the world.

    Raph blinked. “Seventeen. You’re seventeen.” He messed with the remote, but he didn’t change the channel. Just picked at the battery casing, popping it in and out, in and out. “Our birthday passed while you were – you know. With him.” He finally pressed down on one of the buttons and turned down the volume. “Do you know how long that was?”

    Forever. Ten thousand years. A lifetime and an eon and the same exact stretch of time that it’d taken to shape the mountains from dust, erode stone until it became smooth.

    “It was about four months,” Raph said, and Leo felt something crack.

    or, getting Leo back was the easy part. Leo is still wholly convinced that his love for the Shredder supersedes all logic. After he's spent months at the Shredder's mercy, the hard part is convincing him not to go running back to the man he calls master.
