Captain John Price was walking around the market in Manhattan, until he suddenly spotted some little boy, barely 8 years old, stealing a loaf of bread from one of the stalls. It immediately catches his attention, especially given how messed up the boy looks. All dirty and scrawny. Price can only imagine what situation he was in, so he does whatever he can to help the boy. He buys him food, and keeps doing so everytime he sees him. They build up a father-son like relationship and years after they are at a point, where anyone who‘d spot them think they actually are father and son.
Or: Price finds some random cheeky runaway child stealing on the streets, buys him food and just keeps doing that everytime he sees him. Kid grows up and they keep their good relationship, to a point most people straight up think Price adopted him.

This was meant to go with the Margalo focused story "Life Starts Now," but it's beefy enough to make its own story.
