When Syira and Iraq first confessed their feelings for each other neither wanted to risk upsetting the delicate balance of power in the region, or offending their fellow Muslims. In the end, however, there is simply too strong an attraction between the two countries. Being together is simply the right thing to do, regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Dust swirls around the two of them when Palestine steps out the ruined building, rubble lay scattered across the streets as buildings lie crumbling at either end of the street, half collapsed upon itself with concrete littering the cracked ground below. There are bodies strewn everywhere among the wreckage, some torn limb from limb while others remain intact excluding the head missing entirely or worse yet still fully visible amidst the carnage. Even from where Lebanon stands several meters away, she can easily make out that they aren't breathing anymore—yet still appear alive somehow.
