Would something really happen though? Sapnap had already felt this, he had already been balancing the fine line between friendship and something else between him and Dream.
But this time it was different, Sapnap felt, it is as if he was already far from the path where he could distinguish what a brush of arms and legs meant, where a hug that lasted longer than normal was nothing strange, it was a new territory where anything was possible.
The possibility that their lips would finally meet was just as high as if Dream would walk away, giggling nervously, making some joke about the closeness between them and then suggesting that they go annoy George.
Sapnap didn't know what would be worse.
“Pandas?” Dream's voice was loud in the silence they were immersed in, but it was probably no more than a whisper, one said so close to Sapnap that it was difficult to focus on something other Dream's lips so close to his own.

“Thanks Dream, I really don't know what I would do without you.”
There is something else in the way Sapnap says it, it's something fond, of course, but there is something that, just like in his gaze, Dream is not able to decipher, however, not knowing doesn't prevent from causing butterflies in his stomach and that a blush settles on his cheeks.
Noticing that the traffic light has turned green, Dream gulps and proceeds to move on. "Sure, you know there's nothing I wouldn't do for you Pandas."
And Dream realizes that it's true, more than he would like to admit.
It's just after four when Dream pulls up in front of Sapnap's house and for some reason, Dream doesn't want this moment to end, not when there is still an air of feelings and thoughts that he can't name clearly.
