The pain of the lightning scar kept him up at night.
Zuko lay in his bed, unable to go back to sleep. He has had yet another nightmare about Azula hitting him with lighting. And whenever his dream self got hurt, his physical body recoiled as if he had gotten hit again. He could feel the scarred tissue pulsing from pain.
The pain wasn't the only thing keeping him up.
It was what came with it. The memories. The look on Azula's face as she struck him. How delighted she was. Like turning on him was the obvious choice.Or

Sokka receives the next letter from Iroh's favorite messenger hawk, which he catches as it struggles to land in his balloon.
The letter is short. His eyes skim the scribbled mess on the parchment. He reads the five words over and over and over until his brain catches up with his vision.Sokka,
