Summary
7 years ago, Arthur banished Merlin after finding out that he possessed magic, destroying the love they had built in the process. Now, with Camelot under threat from Morgana, Arthur swallows his pride and seeks help from the one person he knows he can trust. Merlin reluctantly returns to Camelot - with a son in tow. Arthur must try to make amends for the past while he struggles to reconcile the fact that Merlin's son is connected to him in a way he could never imagine.

Aithusa is captured by King Sarrum. In order to make sure the dragon is secure and the realm therefore safe, Arthur gathers a delegation to visit the Kingdom Amata. Merlin, however, breaks as he sees the state his daughter is in. And suddenly, secrets are no longer relevant.
Excerpt:
His teary eyes scanned all over her body, finding it worse than what Sarrum had described. Her claws were twitching and bleeding on the dirty ground. There was no water in sight and she looked thirsty while her eyes looked milky and unseeing. Yet, she seemed to recognise him somehow. For a moment, her gaze cleared and she nuzzled her forehead against Merlin’s. Cuts among her side, red coloring her white scaled bloody.“Merlin, what the hell are you doing! Come back here! NOW! It will eat you!”
But Merlin’s glare found only Sarrum’s who seemed more confused than anything. And that look, that innocence feigning, pleased expression, blinded Merlin with pure, unaltered rage. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER!”

Summary
Arthur holds Merlin tenderly and tries not to let fear show on his face. "You idiot," he whispers as he tries to still Merlin's shaking. He's trembling as if they were out in the snowy mountains wearing only tunics and thin trousers, but they're not. It is the middle of summer and they are in the lush green forest that surrounds Camelot. It could be a beautiful clearing really, if only it wasn't splattered with Merlin's blood.

Things seem to go south when Merlin's magic is revealed. But as the stakes change with the arrival of King Galorian, Arthur has a change of heart. 'You will forget all that you hold dear,' the sorcerer had vowed before he attacked Arthur, leaving his patrol dead and Arthur achingly thankful that for once, Merlin hadn’t been with him. Well, and he is quite certain that he hasn’t forgotten anything.
As it turns out, everyone else has; specifically about him, and that Camelot is supposed to have a crown prince.
When Merlin stumbles across him by chance, Arthur should be relieved. And he would be, really—if he hadn’t just been stabbed, and found out that Merlin has magic while he was at it. That Merlin does not remember who he is, either.
It all gets a lot more complicated from there on out as Arthur tries to keep his own secrets, deal with the revelations about Merlin, and find a way not only to restore Camelot's memories, but protect it against the threats gathering on the horizon, too.
When it rains, it pours; sometimes, the aftermath might just be worth it.

How they ended up like this, no one knew, but none were all too miffed. Ambushes and kidnappings lost the element of surprise by the tenth time.
As usual Arthur, Merlin and the Knights were out on a patrol. This time however, they were joined by an adamant Morgana who refused to stay behind when she heard of the recent attacks in the Woods and a Guinevere who seemed just as determined to protect her friends in the lower towns.
And following the weekly routine, they were ambushed and kidnapped. Nothing new.
Except, oddly enough, it was not in search of the King of Camelot, nor was it an endeavour for ransom.
They were looking for someone else.
They were looking for Emrys.

Summary
The first half of the first tournament of magic in Camelot in 25 years was not nearly as interesting as Arthur had hoped.
Thus far, it hadn’t been all that different from the ones he had fought in with his knights, though with more supernatural throwing, shoving, and tripping. Arthur suppressed a pout.
He didn’t even get to participate in this tournament, and there were few things he loathed more than sitting by and watching a fight.
Things would probably get more interesting once Merlin entered the fray—the man brought trouble like carcasses attracted flies—and he would be competing with Albion’s other court sorcerers. Merlin made him feel a great many things, but he strongly doubted boredom would ever be one of them.

“When you said the Sorceress didn’t spell you. You were lying. I know you were, you did that weird nose flare thing you do when you lie. What did she do, Arthur?”
Arthur tensed. Did he really have such a tell? Damn Merlin and always being able to read Arthur like children’s book. “It doesn’t matter,” Arthur sighed in defeat, “She tried to something but it clearly didn’t work. I’m perfectly fine, as Gaius said, and when she finished speaking, she collapsed to the ground, dead. Her magic backfired and killed her instead of me, I suppose.”
He purposefully left out the part about the gold and the touch and the constant buzzing beneath his skin. He was sure it was nothing, and he knew it would only worry Merlin further.
When out with his Knights and Merlin, Arthur is targeted by a vengeful Sorceress (per usual), and struck by a spell with...Unusual effects. Dangerous effects. Faced with a fearful challenge, a treasonous secret to keep, Arthur let's Merlin in to help him, only to discover Merlin could help more than he would have thought.

Summary
The Dragon Lords once lived and ruled happily in Camelot. That all changed after the Battle of Camelot. Now they live in the Wilds, No Man's Land, a place where clans and dragons rule. A routine errand to collect herbs for Gaius gets complicated when Merlin ends up saving the life of one of Camelot's best knights. Summary
What starts with a bit of over-protectiveness after nearly losing Merlin in the Valley of the Fallen Kings, ends with being hunted through the woods by a sorceress—because of course it does. While the witch claims to have no intention of hurting them, Arthur would like to disagree, seeing that he ends up spilling secrets that cause exactly as much damage as he expected.
At least that's what it looks like, right up until Merlin reveals secrets of his own. What follows is a struggle with both his own convictions and a traitor at court, and something that involves Greek heroes, winter nights, a dragon, and a better outcome than either of them would've dared to hope for.
